Beautiful drive indeed ! Thank you @Emanuel for the videos. Nice expression of how fluid the drive was. Fluid but quite intense with the high ridges, the crossings, and the high pace. Very well done all of you. You managed to be focused and accurate. Thanks @Islam Soliman for a good and fun drive, indeed the terrain was quite different with all the rain. Great convoy as well, it was quite challenging at some parts, i was expected much more refusals, yet it was quite smooth ride. See you all on the sand again soon

DRIVE PLAN We have all seen a lot of vegetation in Faqa'a whenever we drove down the line from Chimney, so this time we will start at a new place and directly go to the fun areas of Faqa'a. While we will meet at a slightly distance place to start to drive, but we save ourselves the hardship of driving though all the bushes. From our favorite playground at Faqa'a we will go towards Little Swihan and end our Drive at Solar Park ~ 10:00 am or so. Hi @Imran Asghar, Thanks for the comments. I bought this mount. It's strong and versatile. It fit around the base plastic part around the bottom of one of the passenger headrests and stayed tight. I was hoping for this effect of seeing the driving action and the views out the sides using the wide angle on the GoPro makes a huge improvement in ability to see and appreciate the other surroundings of the journey. Thank you @Islam Soliman for that fabulous route you choose had proper practice for all the sides and crests which made the perfect amount of fun. The terrain today added to the experience, personally first time to experience driving through different sand layers of soft and compacted from rain.

Dear Desert Wanders @Federico Galbieri, @Abdullah N, @Rafey Hashmi, @Mehmet Volga, @Renier Venter, @Shaun J, @Robk, @frederic demolder, @Haneef Thayyil, @Mark B, @Aser, @Ahmed Farouk, @Julien Recan, and @Ali-M First of all let me thank each and everyone of you for showing up on time and helping me enjoy the mornings sunrise with a smile and some good cheer. our drive took us starting off at the beautiful Nahil desert leaving Abu Dhabi and crossing into Dubai and ending up at the Solar park. the terrain was a little tricky in places with soft dry sand on top and hard wet sand underneath. In some areas it was also hard on top turning almost to stone. We only had two refusals and zero stucks the whole drive which is testament to how well you all drove. we did have a couple of pop outs that were dealt with effectively and efficiently by the support team of Mehmet and Mark. Great second lead by @frederic demolder well done was a pleasure to have you behind me. @Mark B brilliant sweep my friend keeping me informed all the way until we started to inflate @Mehmet Volga fantastic support as always, a pleasure to have you in the convoy @Renier Venter hope you get everything sorted mate let me know if I can help with anything at all. Wanted to add that the true meaning of car its came out on the drive, Car plus Community, you guys were patient, knowledgeable and worked so well together as a team it was incredible to be a part of that type of community spirit. In general there is a bit of a confusion when it comes the the general naming CB radio ( citizen Band Radio ) it is part of armature radio HAM radio. while the CB Radio is 11M band ( around the 27Mhz) technically this band is an HF Frequency. the Confusion that all the all onboard ( mobile ) radios are CB radio's goes back to the time when most of the cardo trucks in Europe used to have CB radio installed in their trucks to communicate together some still use it but as per my knowledge they have mostly migrated to VHF frequency due to better sound quality and less interference by the weather . Personally i have a radio in 2 of my cars one support VHF and UHF and the other support HF ,VHF and UHF ( You have to be licensed to be able to transmit more than 5 to 10 Watts ) the main difference and the usage of each frequency band: 1. HF can travel long distances across the globe if used at the right time ,right equipment's and location (it is called also sky waves as they propagate by the Ionosphere) . the disadvantage of HF is the poor sound quality and mostly there is a lot of noise accompanied by the transmission ( squelch function doesn't work ) 2. VHF better sound quality and can be used to transmit and receive over a couple of hundreds of KMs . for example with the unit i have in my car( without using a repeater) i can easily reach to Abu Dhabi Fujairah and sometime al ain , if the weather conditions are good i could also reach to KSA and Oman. works very good in open areas like the desert. Disadvantage of using VHF is its prone to direct interference from other electronics and equipment's for example light bars, fans connected to the same power source . Also, external interference from some generators or high voltage devices that might be around you . Also does not really works well in and between the buildings 3. UHF has the best sound quality with the least interference ( 446.XXX frequency range , Carnity Frequencies falls in this category ). it woks well within the buildings and in city compacted areas. Disadvantage of UHF is the short range of transmission usually a couple of buildings range and in open space it could reach between 4 to 30 KM ( if you got the right conditions) if you would consider installing a mobile radio in your car it is highly recommended to get licensed . Travelling with a Radio ( even the hand held ) to Oman is strictly prohibited even the 2 Watts and it could get you in real trouble , even if you have a license for your radio there is quite a lot of paper work to be done and not always you will get the approval . Saudi Arabia its a bit easier but also you will need to get the correct paper work done before you travel ( and you are not allowed to use it within the city range
