For the road (max comfort and best fuel mileage) and good sand performance - Michellin LTX M/S or M/S2 or Primacy SUV. I used LTX for 3 years and Emmanuel is using Primacy. LTX M/S or M/S2 are an inch better than Primacy, if you can source them. Michellin aren't good for regular rock or wadi visits, occasional use is fine.

Second option - Yokohama Geolander A/T or A/T2 - Reasonably good for on road use and best for off-road (sand) for stock cars. I am using these since last 6 years now. Geo's are fine with rock and wadi too.

Stay away from BF Goodrich, Micky Thompson and Cooper STT - These are some heaviest tire that I mentioned above. They look good but unless you have twin turbo or supercharged engine, they will reduce the sand performance substantially.

Thank you @Gaurav I found this useful as I am changing the tires for my JGC too for the family 😀

  3. Sooner or later machines will dominate and all the fun we experience now might be Killed by simulation ( may sound like science fiction ) .. however human nature of not being controlled and to be in control will always bring ppl to the manual way to fill the need of satisfaction .,,. And here I talk about driving and in other words I like to “drive and not to be driven”

    cheers 🚙

  4. Dear @Rahimdad

very interesting and well described outing from your friend Mohit.

There is no doubt of the capability of JGC as an off road vehicle and the newer versions run with AWD all the time in auto mode till you face an off road terrain where you have a couple of options where to stir the Nob ( Sand, mud, snow, rock ) . And this rock Option in particular Behave like a diff lock when the 4WD is on only. Its a car that I have always loved sharp and powerful ( talking about the V6 specifically ) and will never let you down as long as you are on its side and respect its power and sophisticated mode. Nevertheless in my opinion this vehicle regardless of age needs an owner to love and pamper its power and yet respect its “ shyness “!

best of luck for your friend

    cheers 🚙😎❤️

  5. Hello desert enthusiasts

The new modifications in the Carnity drive notification regarding RSVP in two batches with time difference in the different rank level as well as the request to choose a single RSVP till Wednesday I would say a brilliant idea in an attempt to distribute the load. Let’s enjoy together the desert we all love from the sunrise till it’s magical sunset

thank you all and see you soon

    cheers 🌷🙏🏻🚙
