Great drive @sertac! Many thanks for choosing a nice route so that me in my new car ( @Thomas Varghese it was 422k, what’s with that huge discount my friend 🤣) got a nice workout AND my friends and I had an amazing time.
They also understood why we drive in convoys now and were mightily impressed with all the helpful people around in the middle of a desert
Special thanks to @Srikumarand @Warren FlayFor their assistance, it was very much appreciated especially with @PaoloMarazitirecent incident fresh in my mind 😱
PS
@Fredericyou seemed a bit disappointed when you arrived on the scene mate? Not sure if it’s because you were expecting my FJ40 or because it was too late to render assistance !? hahaha
Clearly it was my own fault for getting it stuck where I did but I learned to steer down quicker and use the power of the car even in the same ride a few times after this mishap, that’s what I’m looking to get out of this, fun and better driving so mission achieved and no need for apologies 🙏🏻
upwards & onwards guys !

@Wrangeldhi Richard, even though I’m in a hotel a few km from starting point, I can’t join tomorrow (and I’m gutted). The car had a new master brake cylinder installed two days ago and somehow decided now to rub due (I think) too tight a setting of the break pedal. I spent a few hours with a Bunch of Bengali kids tin a garage around here to fix it but the couldn’t. Apologies if this means someone is not able to

@M.Seidamsorry for the delayed response. The drive was an awesome mix of techie stuff and swooping easy hills. The only reason i used the early exit of Mark to join him is that my best friend from Australia was waiting at my house after flying in that morning ! Look forward to many more, starting tomorrow with an all day in Liwa !

I have driven once in March this year and have not done any rides since then, because I was out of the country.
My car is a 1978 FJ40 which I have upgraded over the winter and this is first time back in sand since March, I want to take a very easy ride to gently get it back into it.
I was ready online yesterday to sign up and if you bump me off this one, I suspect the other newbie rides will be full so pls keep me here.
