brandan
What are the auto parts that generally needs a replacement and when is it suggested to replace them. Does anyone have a knowledge about it?
garythomas
Oil and oil filter is one thing that needs to be replaced after every 6 months. If you don't really replace it, your engine has more chances to go bad.
neelam
Well, you need to replace the Brake pads regularly too. It needs to be replaced in every 3-5 years. If not, the brake loses the friction and brake will fail.
sufi
Things like motor oil, brake fluid, transmission fluid, antifreeze and coolant also needs to be taken care of. If you ignore tgese fluids, they can damage the engine badly. And the worst is when your engine gets ovrheated because of some leak or deficiency of any fluid. Trust me by friend, you will pay lot of money to get it back in the working position as some of the engine parts wil requir heavy repair or replacement. roadrunner100
What about tires? When should one replace the car tires
amitaj
Tires basically are the long running parts. I personally replaced my car tires after 2 years. They need replacement when they are worn or torn. But it doesn't mean that it happens after 2 years and not before that. It basically depends on how you drive your car and where your exactly drive. Driving on potholes affects the life of tired badly. And also, one needs to mention the proper tire pressure to avoid any torn.

tenace
Breaking pads after 20,000 kms, all filters after one year or after 10,000-15,000 kms etc. It really depends on the vehicle you own, but the numbers are more or less around these figures.
