Very few SUVs come with decent clearance nowadays specially the ones aimed at the US market or produced in the US because by law they cannot have more than a certain amount ( I forget the exact figure ) hence you will see most American SUVs have and an extra thick chin spoiler in the front to meet those regulations.

Americans have weird regulations nd they enforce them strictly. Some good some weird. 3rd brake light ans backup camera now a must.

No lights fitted on the trunk or hood which when lifted will go up with the trunk. So on and so forth.

Since this is clearly aimed at the US market It has to comply with the US regulations

Not so interesting off road, but borderline acceptable at the price tag for on road comfort, safety and snazzy new features. I love the box shape.

Check user Manual if possible all pages. Somewhere It will be mentioned with asterisk ✳ offroading limited to maximum of 100mts from tar road. Offroad will be in bold and caps rest in super small letters. No. Hard feelings guys. Let us have separate topic to discuss best offroading in luxury category. Include Q5, Q6, GL, ML, QX etc... 😉

No offense to Kia aspiration of adding high-end model after failing on several previous attempts with Kia Quoris on Genesis platform, I just don't understand this league is the total opposite of their core brand value.

Kia is known for value for money lower end models to compete with the Japanese brand entry level models at a much lower price point.

Why would anyone buy a higher-end luxury car, SUV or 4x4 with Kia badge on it.....?

Well businesses need to keep evolving and the ones that dont stagnate and eventually fail. Dozens of such examples available and just because they failed once doesn't mean they shouldn't try again.

"Customer loyalty and brand perception are looser than ever before, so this is probably the best time for the Korean automakers to jump into the ring."The handsome Telluride captured 10,965 sales in its first two months of availability in the U.S. and became the automaker's fastest-turning model in the nation last month, according to Bill Peffer, vice president of sales and operations for Kia Motors America. The Georgia-assembled crossover accounted for more than 10 percent of the brand's sales in April, at 5,570 units.
