Ale Vallecchi
Dear Desertnauts here the last minute tips about this afternoon's Eid outing. The meeting point will be just past the entrance to the barracks of the Royal Guards, at the end of the tarmac leading left from E14 (Al Faqa Road) into what looks like a construction area. There will be no shade, so please deflate as quickly as you arrive. The drive plan we'll take us just beyond the first sets of dunes into fields of long-range dunes dotted with clay formations, moving first in a North-West direction, then around toward East, and all along E14, all the way to Faqa, through a mixed terrain of mostly long range dunes, with a couple of sabkhas and technical areas. The convoy order at the moment entails a "tutoring" scheme, with higher ranked drivers leading each a lower rank driver, so that the latter may be inspired by the former's lines and driving techniques: @george charbel will be in Second Lead @DP1011 will be at #3 @PETELCZYC PAJERO - luke at #4 @Benjamin at #5 @Tom V at #6 @Chris Wing at #7 @Marketa Dobesova at #8 @Joseph Raju at #9 @Pavel Pashkovskiy at #9, and @Looper will start in Sweep (you will trade spots with Deepak half way through the drive). We'll use Carnity Radio Channel #2 (446.031). See at 3:00 PM on the hot sand. Have a nice morning.
