brendnix Posted May 14, 2012 Report Share Posted May 14, 2012 while heading back from work my car refused to start after number of attempts i finally gave up and asked a person nearby with a car to jump start which he did and i reached home safely. i will only know if the car is dead or not in few hours once the charge of the battery is over. what i am concerned is did jump start harm my car in any way Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Prufster Posted May 15, 2012 Report Share Posted May 15, 2012 Hi, If it was done correctly meaning: - Positive with positive, negative with negative, - Preferably but not essencial, first connect positive and then negative so that in case of spark it goes to the negative side and not the positive that is the one usualy connected to the components If done like mentioned above there should be no problem.
