taping noise from the top of the motor.

there is a taping noise that i can hear from the top motor and as per the mechanics advise i got the oil pump and timing belt changed but still the noise will not go.

he said he is going to research this issue for a week and will let me know the cause and i was hoping to get one before him if i can.

Noise may be from tappets or lifter/rockers. Some time this noise get automatically adjusted after the timing belt change and dissaear after few 100 km when valve adjust their setting. If it stays too long then its a concern.
