Why is the coolant rising and going down in my 2001 Mazda?

The coolant is coming high and going low in the reservoir even if l drive slowly. when the temp rises it goes up and in night it comes back to normal.

What should i do.

First thing change the thermostat.

let me know if the condition improves.
