DO U THINK AUTOMATIC CAUSE MORE ACCIDENTS THEN MANUAL CARS?

I have lived in the uae for 57 years.

I got my license at 16, back then 18 was not mandatory. I am driving Manual car ever since but that is because of habit.

To a certain extend i agree to this debate. when my son use to drive manual for his first 2 initial years he never even scratched the car but the day he bought a BMW Convertible brand new ( i gifted him as i got impressed with his clean record )after 2 months his car met with an accident which left him partial disable.

in my common sense this was an irresponsible behavior from both the parties but i believe if he was driving manual car he would have been alert and avoided the accident even though it was not his fault but he could have avoided.

the other party who banged his car was driving a dodge and he was speeding....

this incident has cost me a lot and to put an end to this topic.
