vincent76
Hi Guys, I have a question in relation to manual shift mode. Based on my understanding, once the shifter/lever is moved from automatic to manual mode slot (idle position) you will get M1 (as shown on your dash). However, my Pathfinder get M4 at idle position. Is this the way it should be? Your response will be highly appreciated. Thank you
newtoni
Can you please elaborate more, i didn't understood your question fully, secondly which year pathfinder it is?
vincent76
Thanks for your quick response. To start with, the model of the car is 2008 Pathfinder LE. On idle position, once I moved the shifter from D position to Manual mode the indicator shows 4 (meaning in 4th gear already) which I believed the indicator should show 1 (first gear). I'm just curios whether this is a factory setting or not and if it will cause me a problem or not. When the lever/shifter is moved to D position (automatic mode) the driving condition is normal. Hope this clarifies my question. Thank you
newtoni
It seems like a factory glitch to me to show on dash 4 in place of 1 (may be they meant D4 only), as far as you can manually shift fine from 1 to 4, don't bother much. But its a good point to report to dealer so that they can report this to Nissan Japan.
