It's advisable to bring the car to your mechanic this week just to double check oil levels, battery condition, tyres, and coolant levels. All this can be verified in 1 hour max. and will give you more comfort. 4) Make sure your spare tyre is in good condition. It should be the same size as your other tyres. Small variation of 2-3% in tyre diameter is however acceptable. Ensure you have the wrench that fits the wheel nuts. 5 ) Make sure your tank is full when you arrive at the meeting point and bring in total 100-120l for a V6, and 120-140l for a V8 in petrol. Thank you @Hisham Masaad for a very entertaining drive on Friday morning. It was really fast paced and I believe we covered over 60km in less than 3 hours through a route of climbs and climbs of the dunes of the Big Red area. Thanks @Rob S for a good 2nd lead today. Just now realized it was your 1st FB+ drive. To be frank you did just great. Not easy to be a 2nd lead at this pace through difficult terrain. Well done. @Joji varghese, @Rsjiv Samuel, @Gregory, @Davie Chase and old friend @Matt.T all did a good drive today. Never seen @Matt.T in trouble in all the drives we have driven together. When I saw the convoy order I knew I just have to follow his angle of approach. Well I had a crest situation after a long long time. @Hisham Masaad pulled me out gently and thank you @Matt.T for the help. Looking forward to see you all soon in the sands. Its always a pleasure to drive with all of you.5 points

WHAT . . . .A . . . .MORNING! @Hisham Masaad you taught me how to use Toyota v6 power during some climbs at fewbie level, this prepared me very well for todays adventure. Amazing first drive at fewbie+, I am still buzzing! Thank you leading us through the amazing terrain. Thank you to the rest of the convoy for not making to much fuss when I left a bit more churned sand than ideal! @Joji varghese, @Gregory, @Rsjiv Samuel, @Matt.T. Thanks @Davie Chase for the kind words and @Thomas Varghese for keeping us all safe.5 points

Sharing this from @Srikumar: Morning Everyone, with the change of weather there is a chance of early morning fog especially as you move more inland. During those times, AD Police will reduce the speed limits on the road sometimes even to 80 km/h. If you don't adhere to the new speed limit your Liwa trip will just become a little more expensive. They send this message via the AD Police app or via a warning SMS on your mobile. Drive safe.3 points

@Mario Cornejo @Amir Amiri @Ranjan Das @Mus_hus78 @Jorge Stepniak Felippe @Xavier Treasurer @varunmehndiratta Thank you for signing up for what hopefully would be a wonderful journey. So what do we expect on this adventure : For starters, expect to see some of the biggest sand dunes that one can witness in the UAE. Liwa is known for super soft sand even in winters. Driving at the right tyre pressure is going to be extremely critical for this drive, so please keep checking your tire pressure at every break that we do take. Everyone at the IM level is expected to bring in their full set of recovery gears, There would be some dunes that would be difficult for me to come back so you would be required to recover the cars that is a position in front or behind of yourself. I have planned the route based on a track provided by the AD Tourism department. However since this is the IM convoy we will be going a bit off the exact course to witness some of the huge dunes and bowls that this area has to offer. Depending on the fluidity of the convoy, we would be mixing up the the amount of dunes and sabkha. Hopefully, if everything goes well we ought to have covered approx 70- 80% of the course on the first day with the remaining part for Sunday. I would be assigning the convoy numbering on the day of the drive. See you guys in Liwa !! Thanks for informing Alexander. Hope to meet you the next time.1 point

Thanks @Rizwanm2 i noticed it only this morning as it only works on the desktop (website). It works similar to google Earth 3D function, but i only see the functionality being interesting in the mountains, as anything below 200m is not that impressive and the results in 2D are often more accurate.1 point
