Great drive today. With temp reached 11 degrees, all were on time, and ready to go. Mahafiz bowls allow drivers to test their cars and their knowledge about their cars and how to take the cars to higher needs. Dear Lisaili Adventurers.. The plan is to start at Lisaili Fort and make our way into the beautiful tightly shaped baby dunes of Lisaili which will challenge our patience and skills before heading out to the famous Lisaili large dunes to play, rev your engines, and enjoy the roaring. Pre-drive details below: 1- Please be on time and bring all your passion for off-roading and pull as much as you can of yourself out of bed.. trust me you will need all of it. 2- Be at the meeting point by 7:00am (or before) and be ready to move max by 7:15am max (deflated, flag erected, 4H on, radio on and set, airbags/traction/abs all set....) 3- Please ensure your programable radio is on, fully charged and set to Channel 2 (446,031) for BLACKs and Channel 4 (446,056) for BLUEs 4- Briefing will be done on on the sand before we start moving 5- Please be prepared for a demanding drive which you will require your undivided attention. @Kailas thanks for the great drive today really enjoyed it, looking forward to seeing the drive stats. @Hisham Masaad thanks for a great drive this morning. I really enjoyed the big slopes, as I am sure everyone else did. Thanks also to @Rizwanm2 for providing great support to the convoy. I will post some pics in the gallery section shortly. Although they won’t be patch on @Gertjan’s unfortunately!

@Thomas Varghese I love those tips ! I am too young and novice on the terrain to judge any comments from this group or be offended with any comments. Any comments = good comment and advice ! I need this....Thank you for your advice and i appreciate it.

Amazing drive from all of us today. led by @Tbone and sweeped by @Thomas Varghese - what more can we ask? The dunes were simply inviting today. @Antony Abraham well done mate - you were up to this new challenge. cheers

@Antony Abraham it was a pleasure driving with you and @Imteeaz. You actually did well considering it was your 1st fewbie drive. The only tip I have to give is what my trainer @Frederic taught me. Always aim to reach higher ground during a slide slope by adjusting your approach angle and throttle control from the initial run to climb and not in between. The advantage is you are more in controlling the slide down on slopes. In case you slip then obey your car. That time your car is your master and not you. All other times you are the master. 2nd tip is when coming down after criss crossing a ridge always point your wheels down or minimum keep it straight never point the wheels up. That is a valuable tip from Prof @Ale Vallecchi. Don't consider it as criticizing your style of driving. You are too new to be criticized on styles. If I look at your overall style you are very good. Just a fine tune here and there you will be one with your machine. That is the time when the man and his machine will be invincible in the desert or any terrain. By the way todays drive being my 100th in the club was very special. @Tbone suddenly found a long array of rideable ridges which were not broken, not hard, not too soft - in short perfect rideable ridges. Had my fill of endless ridge riding today. I feel sorry for all those who signed out from the drive. They missed a very special drive from specialist lead @Tbone particularly on this style. You both @Imteeaz & @Antony Abraham rose to the demands of the drive and performed your best. See you soon in the sands. As you were all good at continuing the drive at a steady pace I'm sorry I don't have much pictures to post, but whatever I have will be posted by evening to the gallery.

12degrees when we arrived in the morning and 25degree when we left. @Tbone Thanks for a marvellous drive across the dunes and man I tried keeping up with you all.A short convoy with loads to learn. Thank you @Imteeaz @Thomas Varghese for your having an eye on me and those timely notes and tips to improve. Overall a fantastic day !

However, I will have to pull out of this drive because one of my wife's colleagues tested positive and she is awaiting her covid test results. I believe it's not right for me to join the drive without getting into the clear. As much as I want to drive this weekend, I'll opt out and give my spot to the next person in the WL.
