  1. Trip Report Me and My little copilot Abdallah arrived around 14:40 and we met for the first time @Bashar Beasha with his awesome black y61 who was almost ready . It was real pleasure. As the time was passing we realised that @Ahmad Nerat was mislead by google map somewhere near Damac hills 2 😱where the others were not far from us at the entry next to tarmac already ready to move. by the time I was checking every one and their vehicles @Ahmad Nerat has just arrived And in no time was ready and joined the briefing which was just started . Emphasis on the safety points and convoy discipline was well acknowledged and appreciated throughout the whole drive including the night drive the last hour. starting to to realign the convoy in order as we moved and within couple of minutes we arrived at our first ♾️ loop . At Fewbie level practicing safely how to ride the ridge and criss cross demands attention from both the participant and the lead / support as well . Therefore I found the β€œ infinity like loop β€œ model would serve both purposes by giving the chance to cross one dune from right , left as well as the classical straight up / down fashion along the loop and in the same time I could observe as a lead the entire convoy how they do that from different directions few times more or less we kept on doing it and obviously the whole convoy enjoyed it. the second half of the trip started with a break at Riche’s bar and ended with the last break enjoying the sun set at the crescent lake and in between driving driving and driving where ever the dunes took us along it’s breath taking reflection of the inclining sun toward the far west . The third and last part was the night drive action where all the senses aroused and the heart beats increased taking us back to last exit our final destination via Al Qudra Yoga Center ( the mushroom like shaped ) πŸ˜… I have to say that this part although for some was first time but paradoxically was bit faster in pace at some points and free of any issues at all . Looks like the infinity loops was fruitful at the end of the day πŸ‘πŸ˜‰. @Benjamin despite your very young age , you drove exceptionally very well with vigilance and you corrected to perfection my little drops even before I instruct you to do . You played the second lead amazingly well. Nice to meet you for the first time πŸ‘. @Tharun Kumar V third time we meet I believe . very well driving . However keeping bit more of distance would be more safer to react faster . You self recovered nicely with bit of help and our ropes remained in the trunk untouched. πŸ‘ @Ahmad Nerat second time we meet after the pink rock I believe . Today you managed your heavy LC especially in the technical patched and tight twistes like a pro well done πŸ‘ The two Nissans y61 after each other black and white what an awesome combo @Bashar Beasha and @Sebb pleasure meeting both of you first time . Apart from one refusal or two here or there I would say you did really good . Just keep on practicing πŸ‘ @Tareq Al Turq being in the middle connecting the first to the second half of the convoy was like a walk in the park for you my friend. Very well done πŸ‘ @Pranjal Varsani1 pleasure meeting you once more after that trip from faqa to nahel. Flawless drive bro πŸ‘ @Zubair also first time we drive together I believe you enjoyed the white FJC like every one did. Pleasure and well done πŸ‘ @Mike M. Being in the back couldn’t see much but in the infinity loops part definitely you did great . Keep it up bro πŸ‘ @Harshal hearing the roar of the mighty Tundra from that far I knew that you were enjoying your time . I hope you are ok now after you exited right after the crescent lake . last but not the least special thanks πŸ™ for @Fabien Monleau for supporting the drive and guiding our friends whenever was needed. all and all it was a smooth enjoyable day out with you fine ppl this afternoon . till we meet again take care and drive safe . cheers 🌺 Seidam

It was energetic for a weekend. as usual carnity fellas shows there commitment to support each driver to enjoy the maximum out of this drive. @M.Seidam starts the briefing explaning the proper techniques we should follow during the drive and yes we knew a head what to expect. The mistry of "infinity loops" explained and practiced well. 2nd lead @Benjamin was doing great as the rest and super sharp. We learned how to criss-crossing, slide sloping, and ridge riding the dunes and practice it amazingly. We got the chance to learn many thnigs. I did couple of video's, hope u will like it 😁 https://vt.tiktok.com/ZS8kakPBL/ https://vt.tiktok.com/ZS8kaAcv3/ https://vt.tiktok.com/ZS8ka4qA1/ Looking to see u all again on next drive.πŸ€—πŸ€— Also below are the drive stats from Gaia GPS

  4. Dear All Considering the long list of WLs drivers for this drive and especially this being the only FB drive this Sunday, @GauravSoni and I are exploring possibility to extend the drive with two convoys, so as to accommodate all who have shown interest. However, before we do that need to know the final attendees. So request you to confirm your availability for the drive at the earliest (latest by 4pm today). PS : This will require extensive work from leads to plan the routes and overall details of the drive. So please ensure you are certain about your plans, I am sure you will agree that after all the work, won’t be good to have last min no shows. Thanks for your understanding. @Frans M @Imteeaz @Tharun Kumar V @Senthil Kumar @Jona @Zulfikhar Naiyar @Mark Gladiator @Albarqawi85 @Gary F @Mahmoud Taha @Pieter Potgieter @Pierre de Maigret @Yaseen87 @Bhaskar @Krishna R @Shahid Mehmood @Benjamin @Alphin Aloor @Dimitrios Kalogirou @imranaasghar81 @Dodi Syahdar

  6. Normally my trip reports are delayed, but such was the kind of drive today that even though it's almost 5 hours since the drive ended the emotions are running pretty high. So here it goes: The day started with everyone making it on time. After a couple of laughs and briefing we got on our way. It took me a while to get a feel of the sand and the wierd dune formation didn't help much as well. Just as the dunes started getting spaced out and the drive flow improving we had the first unfortunate incident. Such incidents does bring the morale of the entire convoy down especially so early in the drive, but such was the maturity of all the drive participants that everyone chipped in to help sort the issue. By the time we were able to return to the desert it was close to 1 pm, so we decided to head to the famous Pajero bowl by taking the dirt track. Such kind of bowls are always nested deep within the desert surrounded by technical patch. As we glided through the narrow corridors available we had our first good run of the day. Pajero bowl was a shadow of what it was 5 years ago, when the name was invented. The difficulty level has all but gone, but still one needs to be fully focussed and committed to get in and get out. Everyone took their turns with some setting a record pace within the bowl. πŸ˜‚ After having a couple of attempts and with just 2.5 hours of time available we decided to head to the other bowls of the area. What we instead found was a jungle full of bushes and hard bumps that didn't allow for a smooth ride. As we dodged our way out of the big dune area we arrived at a stretch of medium size dunes. Medium is a relative word, as these dunes were probably taller than the ones in Sweihan. And this is where we had one of the best nonstop runs that I have had the privilege of being a part of. To say that the convoy maintained a brisk pace would be a gross understatement. I wish to thank all the drive participants for putting their faith and following the route being chartered. We drove for close to 40 mins before finally I had to stop to catch my breath and so did the rest of the convoy. A break always causes a couple of refusals and so we had it as well. But once the convoy again started moving we were flying through the dunes criss crossing at the highest points and at will. That's when we heard that @ASAD. car started over heating. On closer inspection we found that the radiator fan was completely shredded and was not there. After letting the car cool off, we had the huge challenge of getting his car from the huge patch of dunes into the sabkha. As the sun was about to set in 30 minutes we had a narrow window to get the convoy out. With some excellent coordination by @Waqas Parvez @Rob S and tugging by @Tom B we were able to get the car out to the sabkha. Also a big appreciation to everyone for chipping in and helping get Asad's car ready to handle atleast some sections where he needed to drive out by himself. The excellent teamwork ensured that we recovered the car and safely reached the tarmac by 6 PM. Thank you everyone for joining the drive and for your excellent participation to help overcome each obstacle that we faced today. And thanks once again for the one hour run that we had, that was truly special.
