It seems google maps are still not recognizing the last roundabout, so take a U-Turn from last roundabout instead of taking a right which will take you all the way to Solar Park for U-Turn. @Juan R @fareed khuraishi @Mohit Gurnani @Jeevan Koshy @essam ibrahim @Ale @Melenany @Xavi Moyano @Maheshwar C.S. @sohinik @Sammy Six @Goh KP2 points

Thanks everyone for the amazing feedback! I'm with Etisalat at the moment and I guess I will stick with it (relatively new resident here). Will look at mapping apps too, at the moment I am just using offline maps on Google maps, but that is of course wildly inadequate as no offline satellite/topo type maps 😃2 points

Nothing special, just regular offroad light. We just joking. BD is abriverture from Baja Design, one of the offroad light manufacturer.1 point

Unless you are driving in the desert on your own or leading in the night - the stock lights are sufficient. You will know when you need to upgrade automatically. If you have to ask - you don’t need.1 point

Dear Desertnauts a quick run-down of tomorrow's weekend opening drive. As the title informs, it'll take place all over Lisaili, starting from the camel track to Solar Park and back. The title also hints at a hopefully smooth ride, where, if all goes well, silence will be the noise we'll hear, like in a meditative state, rapt by the beauty of this area of desert. We are planning to keep the drive fast, and under 3 hours. The convoy order will be the following: @Ignacio Quindós in Second Lead @Stumpy Paj at #3 @Krishna R at #4 @Bjoern at #5 @Gok Krish at the Center position @Mahmoud Taha at #7 @Tareq Al Turq at #8 @Jona at #9 @Joseph Raju #10, and @munkybizness in Sweep. We'll pick the Carnity radio channel before leaving. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow. Have a nice evening.1 point

Yeah, very interesting to understand what i can get in terms of result. All i tried so far is just use it for 10 seconds when i am parking car in front of my house. Cats and birds are not happy at all ))1 point

Self installing (if i can work out this question) some side pod lights on the pajero.. and was wondering if anyone here has any good tips on where / which / how holes in the firewall it is appropriate to run switch wire through? Likely i will go for a lot of overkill and install more and more lights in the future as funds allow... should i just be installing a large multi-core wire through and terminating the ends until i get extra lights/switches as needed?1 point
-
switch gang panel arrived... tossing up if i try and do the install on friday afternoon and potentially cripple my car for this weekend or not wish me luck1 point
-
im just gonna have one big sticker that says 'BLIND EVERYONE' so you can have my fan sticker. 😎1 point
-
Just kidding, with so much electrical wiring, I have a wish to someday clear all and make them as tidy as possible, someday...!1 point

Fredy, this gang switch is amazing but why only 1 sticker for a fan? Damn it I can't buy it now.1 point
-
Thanks Frederic, Hmm the gang panel switch box really removes a lot of the hassle of future upgrades... excellent idea to use that instead. I will have to give this some more consideration before i start poking more wires around,,... consideration needs a good beer as well. 😎1 point

There should be a rubber grommet that leads to your glove compartment. But i have another question for you: - Will this be the only lights you will add ? or do you plan to have more in the future ? The reason is this, i recently came across the Auxbeam switch panel and must say although it is not super cheap, i was extremely impressed with how easy it was to install multiple lights or other external items. Have a look here: Auxbeam 8 Gang Switch Panel, Universal Circuit Control Relay System Box with Automatic Dimmable On-Off LED Switch Pod Touch Switch Box for Car Pickup Truck Jeep Boat UTV SUV, BA80 Blue 2 Year Warranty : Amazon.ae: Automotive So far i have always done my own installs by buying the relays, wiring, fuses, etc.. but even though i do my best, after a couple of years, and a lot of heat and sand, those wires became brittle, and the relays started to fail. The fact that this is a one-stop solution with IP65 rating really could be a life-saver. Installation over the weekend with a helper and a good beer1 point
