In Sep 2021 Davie Chase arrived in the UAE deserts with his trusted Wrangler and a heart full of curiosity for off-road adventures. From that first drive with me in Tawi Nazwa, Davie's enthusiasm and knack for problem-solving were evident, setting him apart as someone destined to excel. Through 160+ drives spanning all terrains, Davie didn’t just gain experience - he built a reputation. Whether navigating technical dunes or lending a steady hand during recoveries, his sharp instincts and unshakable composure have left an indelible mark on our off-road community. Davie's approach to off-roading goes beyond just skill. His flair for turning challenges into learning moments has empowered countless drivers to overcome their fears and embrace the desert. As a leader, he’s patient, encouraging, and always up for helping others push their boundaries safely. Achieving the Marshal rank isn’t just about driving prowess; it’s about embodying the values that Carnity Offroad Club holds dearly - teamwork, foresight, perseverance, and a passion for sharing knowledge. The first time I reached Ghafteen bowl with @M.Seidam, I knew I had to camp. It took some time but finally we did it. (PS: 2nd lead, CF and Sweep from that drive are leads now). we start a bit late because I was trying to score a power bank and there was a traffic jam on E66. I narrowly escaped being part of an accident when there was a pileup just behind me. I counted 2 patrols 1 lc300 and a defender before moving and narrowly escaped a patrol hitting me when the driver took to the curb side beside me. Later, I also had to take detour to get some ice for my cool box. @Jon L was on a full camping set up while I & @Abhilash Kottakkal were on a quick setup mode. (I am yet to begin with my full camping gear.) With extra time I set up and dismantled the projector screen and with some more time left I decorated my jeep with lights for the night. @Jon L’s TRX bbq set up was great and the servings from him and @Abhilash Kottakkal were mouth watering. We had some lovely discussions and the night ended when it did. The temps were chillier than I expected, as usual we were short on wood so scavenged some in the bowl that kept going. The next day started at about 6:30. I put my wake up alarm at 6:00 without any plans for getting up before 7:00 am. The sun had risen but did not reach the bowl. We packed and started at about 7:30. During our talk last evening Nagra hill came up so that’s what we did in the morning and finally ending the drive at 10:00 dot as planned. Thank you all for joining guys! We started off north of Nahel, which had a bit more vegetation than i could remember from the past. It has been a while since i visited the area. As we had a rather sizeable convoy, it was at times a bit difficult to keep the convoy flowing, but you guys all drove amazing. Since we came to know there was some kind of event happening on the west-side of Nahel, i decided to head south and then east-wards, making our way towards Ghafeteen bowl through some narrow technical dunes that everyone managed brilliantly. With great support from @DP1011, @Zed, and superb second lead from @Luke K P, we worked as a tight unit and exited perfectly on time. The pace was perhaps a bit lower than what i usually do, mainly due to the large convoy that got stretched whenever we decided to ramp up the speed intensity. In any case i had great fun and hope you all had too. See you soon in the sands !

From the first Masterclass, where i tried to throw you into the technical dunes which you sailed through effortlessly, i realized that together with a superb skillset, you came with a very humble approach to off-roading. You've always been open to improving and picked up things so easily. We can be so proud of having you as our lead and i hope you realize becoming Marshal is not the end station but only a beginning. We will have bowls, sideys, and criss-crossing of dunes at a pace that will surely get your heart racing, if not pounding. Thanks @Islam Soliman appreciate your early guidance and inspiration,, I was a newbie on your Marshall promotion drive with Fred, and remember the announcement in the car park at Qudra exit, and remember thinking I wonder if I can ever get to that level, and from then on I tried to join as many of your drives as possible so I could learn from one of the best at Carnity. I have now managed to get there, with a lot of learnings, and a few panic attacks along the way, especially when you suddenly realize that you are the guy, there is no one with you to ask what would you do in this situation. It is in these situations that you then have to say to your self what would Islam , Fred, Guarav, Doc and the rest of the leads do here, and it all comes flooding back. so a big thank you for being that inspiration of the last 3 years. and all the best on your new adventures back in Egypt you will be missed by Carnity and everyone else in UAE Thanks @Imran Asghar always a pleasure to have you on one of my drives mate, and now I know you can cook lamb chops, you will be asked to join more often especially the twilight ones:) as long as you bring the Bar-B-Q Thanks @Mahmoud Taha appreciated

I bought last year telescope from one friend, huge enthusiastic of stars ( he went for bigger telescope) https://dubaitelescope.com/DT-2706/celestron-nexstar-evolution-9-25-hd-with-starsense/ It's good for stationary settle, as it's total with mount around 28kg(tube 10kg, mount 18kg). So transportation is not that easy, even That I made Pelican case for it. As season started I'm planning to go for smth smaller (6-8inch scopes) . Assembling - 10 minutes single man. I bought it for 12k, selling now for 10k aed, I realize it's too big for me, as I don't have villa, and leaving in the middle of most light polluted place in Dubai. It can be operated through smartphone, or computerized handle on scope(smartphone is easier) it has inbuilt battery. ps. case selling separately for 2k.

Are you interested? I even can bring it to you in Abu-Dhabi)) Will not get NOC for buying new one, unless will free space from it 😁
