Below some practicalities for coming weekend: When: Sunday May 3rd 2026 Where: https://maps.app.goo.gl/7SKEEsfbq3X7dDhy5 Decimal Coordinates: 24.723737, 55.551649 Who can join: anyone who has RSVP’d or received the invite. Invited members are also free to bring some offroad friends along, as long as they have a 4x4 and Newbie level experience. Deflation needed? Yes, but 15psi is sufficient. Radio Frequency: Channel 10 – 446.231 Mhz – Please keep the radio channel free and only use in case needed for general announcements. Timings: 06.00AM- meetup and deflation time. 06.30AM -Convoy start. At least one break will be held halfway. 09.00AM – approx. time we will reach Crescent Moon Lake. 09.00AM-10.00AM – Tribute activity of forming a big human circle, followed by extra time to meet and greet friends. Exit track towards Bab Al Shams can be taken. There will also be a memorial book. Notes: Team Carnity members (support, advisors, marshals, experts, etc) will be part of the convoy and can provide guidance to keep the convoy moving or relay radio comms in case of any issues. Convoy rules: -We ask everyone to stay in the same convoy position throughout the drive, not to overtake, or leave the convoy. If you want to exit from the drive, please announce it over the radio. Carnity’s drive responsibility ends if you leave the convoy.

I am honored to announce we have promoted @M.Seidam to Crew rank within Carnity Offroad Club! Mohammed Seidam joined us about 6 years ago and brought with him an infectious amount of energy and positivity. He quickly moved up in the ranks with his trusty white Xterra, and soon he was leading drives in all different terrains of the UAE. Lately his evening and night drives have been real benchmarks of what Carnity Community Spirit is all about. He is one of our best mentors and is looking over us like a father to a son, and anyone who joins his drives will be in the best possible hands. It goes without saying that we are extremely thankful and proud for his efforts and time given back to our community, and the time has come for Mohammed Seidam to help us to strategize the future of Carnity and to keep innovating. CREW OFFROAD RANK The Crew Offroad Rank has been designed for senior Offroaders who have consistently been driving with our club, while pushing the boundaries with new strategies, techniques, and a genuine heart for the club and its future. As a small core group, it aims to analyze the club progress, and heavily focuses on the growth, quality, and leadership. Crew members are also the ones who perform the leaders lead sessions and continue to mentor our new leads and supporting members.

The honor is all mine . 6 years passed and the learning is a never ending process . Hi @Ahmed Farouk i fully understand. We choose the Faqa area as it is very spacious and the entry point can accommodate this number of vehicles. There are not so many entry points nowadays where you can park 60+ cars safely. 6AM is indeed early. I chose it knowing that upon arrival it will take some time to deflate and there will be lots of meeting and greeting to see friends we have not seen in quite a long time. By 6.30AM i want to get the convoy moving and we need to take into account the hot weather, as upon arrival at Crescent Moon Lake we will form a human circle and some people will stick around for conversations. After 10AM it gets really hot these days.

So true. His legacy continues in everyone of us. He showed all of us how beautiful the sand can be. Miss you Bhai.

SUPPORT TEAM Pre-requisite 1) Minimum 10 any level "Carnity" drives are required after your Intermediate promotion to become eligible for the Support Team. Once you decide to join Team Carnity to excel further with your off-roading, people, and commanding skills, you will be extensively trained by the whole Team Carnity from Expert - Marshal - Crew at various stages by supporting different levels drives. Activities for Support Team Members Support different Marshals and Crew at Newbie level drives to demonstrate: Your ability and willingness to support new offroaders. Ability to gain control of commanding situations. And clear communication skills to help manage the convoy. Possible progress toward becoming an Advisor Once you have proved to be a regular Supporting Team member and have supported different trip leads on several Newbie and Fewbie drives, we will gather your periodic feedback. Based on this feedback and reviews you might receive an invitation to become a Carnity Advisor for further advancement within our community. You will also need to have completed a minimum of 5 Intermediate Level drives, and be a regular club member (minimum supporting 6 Newbie or Fewbie drives per quarter) to become eligible. Being invited to an Advisor role means we put our faith in you as a passionate club member who displays maturity and passion to carry your knowledge on to new off-roaders who are still progressing through the ranks.

Great to see your message @Barry. The anecdotes you shared are so much like Gaurav. Many of us in the club and his inner circle have countless stories and i will never forget the experiences i shared with him. He will be surely missed, but i am extremely thankful for what he has taught us and we will definitely continue the legacy.

It’s been a while since I posted on Carnity. I still can’t believe Gaurav is gone. I was just talking to him recently. When I first heard the news I couldn’t believe it. I still can’t. We were the same age and he was taken from us far too soon. When I first came to Dubai more than 10 years ago, Gaurav was one of the first people I made friends with. We bonded over the love of cars and I eventually became involved with Carnity writing articles, how to diagnose and fix your car yourself, how to save money, things like that. When Carnity moved more to the 4x4 side of things, I kinda fell away. I’m more of a track and racing guy. Off roading scares the hell outta me and I have massive respect for what you guys do. I spent many hours in the garage with Gaurav, working on his Ship of Theseus Pajero, rebuilding engines, raising and lowering suspension, fitting coolers for random systems, discussing upgrades, and more importantly, discussing life over a few beers. He was always someone I could ask for an opinion on whatever crazy situation I was planning on getting into next and he would always give me an unbiased opinion. I have so many stories involving Gaurav, some good, some funny, but never bad. I will never forget when he got his new Range Rover and he wanted to show me the radar cruise control and we nearly ran into the back of a Nissan Sunny. Or when he showed me how to fishtail in a Mustang and we ended up facing backwards on Al Khail road. Fun times I will never forget. I will be out of the country this weekend but rest assured, I will be with you all in spirit. I am so happy that you guys will continue with Carnity. This is Gaurav’s legacy. DRIVE DESCRIPTION-WHAT TO EXPECT This drive is dedicated to bringing as many Carnity Community (existing or former) members together as possible to pay our respects to our dearest Gaurav — our mentor, founder, and true friend, who left us far too soon and whose absence has created a deep void in our hearts. Starting from Faqa, we aim to gather as one large convoy and follow an easy, gentle track through the Marmoom Reserve, with occasional breaks along the way. A massive thanks to @Frederic and all of the senior carnity team. This honor is very humbling. Especially at this time of mourning. The carnity club has become my uae family, the level of learning and support available in the club is 2nd to none. I look forward to every weekend drive, not just for the driving but for the people! I hope that i can help keep the spirit of the club alive in the next stage of my off road journey. Once again a big thank you to everyone in the club who has been part of my growth over the last 2.5 years.
