Seems you weren't trying hard enough on the first ticket @DP1011

Great job on the second ticket though.

Didn't realise Jeeps went that fast 😜

Its the other way round mate! The second was issued after our Badayer journey😂, and then first was after that NB drive😂, so aligned on my pace to the level of drive😅..the second is dated 5th and first is dated 6th😂 and YES DONT Underestimate Jeeps! Even we contribute to Traffic speeding fine revenues😂

  2. @Hisham Masaad Do I get an award for living upto the expectations of speed? Not just off-road, I continued to drive with that pace On-road also while going back, and here is an expensive evidence of the same😅, And Not just one day,  the speed continued even next day when u were flying sweep 😂😂

@Frederic Please note this for a potential consideration for upcoming Hall of Fame☺️☺️)IMG_5850.png.2d3a09099363d09bf47d2f0b39f38c38.png

Dear FB+ drive participants. Getting closer to the close of the RSVP, and would remind you that you have added your names sometime during the week. In case a change of plan, please review and confirm. The list of names as of now are as below. For the records and to decide joining  or not, if you are a person not getting speed tickets on road, you might need to leave the drive please.

    Attendees

    Waitlisted Attendees

While having some speeding tickets to our account, do we also need to be "Cool headed" about it ? and not getting heated :D:D ?

  4. Hi @Gaurav Although very limited knowledge, but my curiosity and search on this is as below :  - So to me, I link it more to driving over a bump....

"That clunking noise you hear from the front end of your car when driving over a bump can be telling of an issue with your car’s suspension. More specifically, the problem is with your control arms or suspension system struts.

This damage can occur if you are off-road or roughly going over potholes. Sometimes control arms can just wear out on their own."

@controlz A happy and proud rubicon (stock No mods)  owner since  Dec 2021😅, and thats my only car, for both off road and on road. 4DR, for 3 ppl, self, spouse and One future offroader who is currently 12 yrs old😂

4Dr - Bcos its my daily use car too, helps me with storage during winter campings too. Been with club since I became the owner and no looking back since then. If you believe desert is going to be your second home, I would not hesitate to recommend you to go for rubicon, as regards your second car, for on road,  you need to consider daily usage, if its 20-25 mins one way commute perhaps one rubicon should work, else you might want to think of alternative.
But then over a period you will get used to it and wont like getting into other car😅

I now dont feel like having one more for my on road.

    • Please share your vehicle details - Make, Model, Color, and Year. Montero sport, 2023, red
    • Do you have any prior off-road experience? If yes, pls share details. No.
    • Confirm your vehicle has front and rear tow hooks/eyelets. Yes. Inbuild ones and I have D schacle to connect. This is enough right?
    • Confirm you have essential minimum gears  to start off with - 1. Off road flag , 2. Two way programmable radio 3. Deflator to deflate tyres upon arrival and 4. Compressor to inflate after the drive. Yes I have the neccessary gear. I watched all the videos. Looking forward to join.

that was quick - now lets hope for either an extension of Convoy or someone dropping :) - however, please wait to see till the convoy list is published - I can totally relate to this excitement when I did my first drive too :) ,

Hi @Abhilash Kottakkal - Welcome to Carnity !!

Currently you are on Waiting list and I see this will be your first drive ( if your WL is confirmed either 1. upon extension of convoy which is Drive lead's decision taking into consideration drive technical level and convoy length/support   OR  2. some members dropping) , The convoy list will be published here by today evening most likely and if you are in that list as confirmed attendee, you can join, if not, I guess would be few days of wait :)

however, in the mean time, as mentioned in details of this drive  Can you please confirm on below :

    • Please share your vehicle details - Make, Model, Color, and Year.
    • Do you have any prior off-road experience? If yes, pls share details.

    Very interesting topic... (following...)

Have only experienced a pop out (not me) once in our convoy lead by @Islam Soliman and @Davie Chase if I remember correctly in Al Qudra.

Was amazed out how easily and quickly the pop out was repaired - in this case with the help of an air jack.

My question - everyone keeps talking about a "board" that needs to be placed under the jack, never seen this and was wondering if anyone is able to share what it looks like? @Frederic you mention to keep the wheels on?, would this not increase the risk of the jack moving out of position?

@Gaurav excellent advise on the size of the jack required, not right now, however will place a jack in my cart for the future :)

Thanks for all the great insight @team Carnity!!!

@Theo09 its just a normal thick wooden board, to have stability for Jack, as its not hard surface in Sand, plus it gives some elevation to jack too.

Please see what it looks like ;)

    What went wrong here ?

Thanks @M.Seidam this was interesting one, and Watching it at 0.25 speed couple of times, my observations are :

    1. The approach angle was not right according to me, he was hitting slip face, and that too in a kind of bowl what looks to me. I would either continue to ride the ridge and then steer right , straight down Or cross the crest straight up, straight down bcos from where he approached doesn't appears to be sharp crest.

    2. When he arrived on other side, the minute he arrived, he was going down, but instead thought choose to counter steer and the sand wall started to build on his front right wheel, and he continued to counter steer, to correct his angle on a slip face absolutely not done. Looks to me, his front right wheel sand-wall caused this rollover.  - There was NO way he was going to continue sideways  (keeping in mind his angle of arrival on this side)  - going down was only solution.
