  1. Oh what a drive!

Great picturesque terrain with various surfaces in the first part and amazing technical patch in the second.

we have been told to avoid it but we did it twice, that’s the spirit! Sorry about your plate @Rafey Hashmi, I hope it will be sorted out easily.

I had a mishap of a pop out in the technical patch and thanks to everyone who helped me out with it. However I shouldn’t have mentioned Deja vu when when we entered the patch again as I got another pop out pretty much same spot but different side 🤦🏼‍♂️ thanks to everyone who helped me out with it.

thanks @DP1011 for the drive! Thanks @Amr Aydin@PAJERO petelczyc luke for support!

    thanks everyone for the company!

    see you in sand!

With this confidence we started off, it turned out to be the opposite, nevertheless terrific! The first kms were pretty light and the biggest issue was @Looper 's camera, which requested an unconventional perspective. Once we entered the dessert things became very intriguing. The sand was soft and required a new set of skills to tackle it on nondeflated tires, it was an amazing opportunity to test momentum feeling and surface understanding. By the time we all agreed to deflate we made a good few loops and I was amazed to see that I made this far at 30 psi (which was supposed to be 25 but the heat did its deed). Even afterwards the journey brought adventures with 2 big bowls full of bumps which we had to fly over. Many reattempts, I was at the back, but I heard constant communications from the cars in front, which reached the second bowl. The suspense was unbearable. Still not a shovel in sight. We made through the soft nasties and were rewarded by a very picturesque roll through wadis and villages with the ocean view as a cherry on the cake.

Thanks @Frederic for the route!  Looking forward to more mountain drives!

Thanks @Pacific and @Looper for the support and guiding the best lines in tricky spots!

Great drive! Thanks all who joined!

    Good morning all !

I hope you are all looking forward to this drive. The plan is to explore an area which is not often visited by offroaders, and i hope that means we can find some nice virgin dunes.

    @Stumpy Paj@DanielN@Hugo@Bravoecho@Ron.P@Imran Asghar@Dinesh Kumar A@Andrei S@Pieter Potgieter@Ashutosh Garg@Amr Aydin@Vanessa8580

I have appointed each of you a totem animal that will keep you safe on the drive.

We will be using Channel 2 - 446.031 Mhz. Please make sure to bring your offroad gears as per your level.

If there are any changes in the convoy list or dropouts, we will alter the convoy setup if needed the same morning.

    See you all soon !

    Great idea with animals!

Thanks @Frederic - this is undoubtedly one of the most diverse route i have been on, surely wouldn't have missed the chance to lead a drive here.

    Dear Sand Sailors

    @george charbel@Pacific@Andrei S@Misha Puskar@Rk ram@Stan@Chris Wing@Mark B@Hugo@Sebbplease find below the details of the drive.

    Meeting Time: 7am

    Channel : 3

Drive Plan: In general as already shared by Frederic. Just one point to add - me and Fred have a bet on who will reach the destination later. No, we arent counting on your refusals 😀 but ability of convoy to find the most scenic spots and get some mesmerizing shots of nature. Ofcourse, being a big hearted person i am, i decided to give a head start to my old(er) brother 😘. So, make sure you are coming with your eyes wide open and cameras well set, as i dont want to lose this bet.

Convoy Order (a bit re-ordered, to ensure we win).

    1. Varun Mehndiratta in Maroob Rubicon

    2. Hugo - FJ Cruiser Red will be our SL.

    3. Misha Puskar - Jeep Wrangler 4D Grey

    4. RK Ram - Xterra

    5. Sebb - Safari White

    6.  Pacific - Jeep 2DR White will be supporting the convoy at centre and will also be responsible for Hall of Fame ( or does it starts with "Sh", clicking pics of all refusals/stucks :))

    7.  Stan Wrangler 4D Green

    8. George Charbel - Jeep 2DR White

    9. Andrei  in Jeep 2DR Green

    10. Mark B  in Jeep Gladiator

    11. Chris Wings in FJ Cruiser will be sweeping the convoy.

See you all tomo. Take good rest and kill the snooze switch on your alarm clocks :)

    Hi Varun,

as per my message above, I won’t be able to attend. Sorry.

as a separate note, based on my previous drive with Stan, his car color is superb. Jokes aside, I really like it.
