Abdul Rafay-S
@PaoloMaraziti As per my knowledge, there's always a risk of them 'Melting' due to excessive heat under the car. Especially if they are misplaced and are in contact with some really hot surfaces such as the exhaust pipes. 2

Alexander Alcala
I don't think that is a possibility. It is designed to handle high temperatures. Its is more likely to rupture due to sharp metal contact if not used properly. I have the ARB X-Jack and never had an issue with it.
Looper
I have a AOR jack but it is too small for most cars and find it difficult to lift cars where I have to put the jack deep under the car because the handle does not have much space to lift the car. It is however quite compact and fits perfectly behind the front row seats in the foot well and thus easy to tuck it there without any need for more securing. Won’t recommend other than for light and stock suspension cars. Ordered a Performance Tools 2.5 Ton lift today. 2 don't drive like its your last one. Hisham Masaad
So far I am finding the bottle jack is the best option. Still searching for one with double lift cylinder. Mush more compact in size and weight.

Settled on a hybrid bottle jack design, supplied by Powerbuilt. Have tried it out a few times in the desert and am very pleased with it. It's very stable and easy to operate, with good height range. For non lifted cars it is a little tall, but one or two shovels of sand in the area you want to place the board quickly gives enough clearance. 3

No doubt one of the best (based on my research) @Tom B, was almost buying it, but the only thing changed my mind is the size. Eventually, bought a bottle jack, will need to make the base for it.
