Which dashboard camera is best for recording while off road drive

Dears, 
Any suggestion for Dashbaord camera. I am planing to buy for recording the video while driving off road. With good stabilize control.

@Looper and @Sunil Mathew have done significant research and advised many of us on options.  Budget plays a part and there are ranges that span all.  I have chosen the Garmin cameras however I don’t use them for recording drives, more as a traditional dashcam. Am very happy with them and highly recommend

Hello @Harshad Ashraf, I am also using the 70mai A500, with front and back cameras. This is probably at the lower end of the budget spectrum, approx 300 AED only

The camera records in 1080p, but i reduced to 720p to upload. 

Disadvantage is that it records videos of 3min durations only,, so you will have to stitch them together with a video editor.

I use an old Iphone SE, together with an app called "Smart Dash Cam". Advantages:

* Free

* Iphone SE has a decent camera

* Free

* Free

* Free 

 

It makes 3min videos, and you can upload the ones you like via Dropbox to the cloud.

I tried this, but the trouble i faced was the lack of rigidity of mount/holder. As phone mounts generally tend to have a bit of flexibility and most following a "canti lever" design, its never in sync with movement of the car and the video goes shaky....70 mai is stuck firmly onto the windshield..so it worked better in my case ..
