Hugo
Dear all, I am wondering if there is a list of recommended places for bbq to enjoy some time with the family. Also, near some nice dunes to enjoy while the family is in the "main" camp, so that the drivers can go play for a bit with the cars Edited February 3, 2022 by hugo 1

If you see a nice area that is not too crowded, just save it as a waypoint in your GPS to visit later with friends. Focus on finding something that is not too deep inside the desert (in case you have friends without offroading experience), close to an exit track, and not an area where you would be constantly disturbed by cars zooming around. 5 2 2 "Go as far as you can see; once you get there, you'll be able to see further." I would love also to be able to take the kids on a short and safe desert drive and picnic underneath a tree somewhere.
Yogesh Chaudhary
Hi Frederic, Thanks for sharing few of the locations for a BBQ stint with family and friends. But all these locations require a 4x4 vehicle or normal vehicle can also go? I have a 4x4 vehicle but my friend don't. 🙂

My suggestion is to keep the sedan at the road side and just transfer the stuff and gear into a 4x4 car. Even better: tell your friend to buy a 4x4 and join you in the club 😁 1 1 "Go as far as you can see; once you get there, you'll be able to see further." Hugo
I found some some other places for BBQ to add the the list that @Frederic kindly provided: - BBQ spot (https://goo.gl/maps/FMGcLxgmmCcT2q589) with trees that provide shadow near Fossil Rock (https://goo.gl/maps/M5B6j7ZxK1LnXweq8) - Ghost town (https://goo.gl/maps/j1Hp7zoe1xqk41j37) with easy access to any car to the spot - closeby there is some small dunes to enjoy - if experienced and more adventurer you can go all the way until this exit https://goo.gl/maps/ZsHHuxNAwx9cpJwm9 - One more in Al Qudra is this one (https://goo.gl/maps/cRshcLwyCgJNrcqB9) - just find any spot and set your camp 3

To venture much deeper and find the quiet spots where there are no Pa-Pa-Pa-Pa-Pa-Pa Patrols in sight 2 2 1 "Go as far as you can see; once you get there, you'll be able to see further." Thanks. I hope we can consolidate the list and then choose a place by popular choice and have a fun barbeque for entire community at this place
