how can i find the leak

Recommended Posts

What Jee, mean to say is if its coolant or engine oil then you can see what is leaking and then trace from where its leaking just by visual look in and around engine bay. If its something else then it require mechanic to go under the car and see if any of the differential is leaking or 4x4 or gear oil is leaking. All these item require special tools (spanner) to open the nut and check their levels.

Hi there,

What is leaking? Maybe it is just the water condesation from the A/C... If the leaking area is more or less in the dashboard area than it probably is just water condesation wich is perfectly normal.

Leave the car parked in the same place for a few hours then get it out from that place. Then try to understand what kind of liquid it is. If you touch it and your fingers get black and greasy than it will probably be oil. If it is a redish coloured liquid than it can be coolant. Mine leaks from the transfer box sealant and also a bit from the crankshaft sealant... It's kind of common on Land/Range Rovers to leak.... :)
