When going offroading the car get heated up a bit

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

What do you mean with a bit of overheating? Where does the temperature needle goes? The normal should be in the middle... What kind of offroading where you doing? Driving in high revs all the time? The AC shuts down when the vehicle overheats? Probably it is a safety feature. Whenever the engine temperatures goes above a certain level, the ECU starts shutting down non essential systems to reduce the load on the engine...

Cheers! :)

Depending on what level of overheating has been done while offroad. If it max temp once, there are chances that head gasket be saved. But if you still drove on full temperature until car came to halt, then for sure your head gasket is gone and engine coolant/water has been mixed with engine oil.

In this case only solution is to fix head gasket (big dent on ur pocket). So drive always with eye open on heat gauge.
