Don't forget to change the oil for the headlights, in the summer these oils can get really hot and sticky.

Although it's a family drive ending with BBQ, everyone is welcome to come alone or with family - as they like. For first absolute newbie drive, you are better off alone tbh as per my experience so that you can focus on learning with undivided attention but it's completely your choice in the end.

@RohanH if your fluids are ok. Check the buttom of the steering column, there is a caoutchouc piece that rubs against the column and it is the reason behind the noise. You can put some WD40 over there. In my case it did the job perfectly.

Hi @rohan I have 2009 pajero and exactly as u said I have same issue and as mentioned by @Srikumarits purely because of rear differential busses and control arm bushes worn out and it’s common for Pajero’s as I have noticed few of my friends cars and the solution is to change complete rear axle and differential bushes to have a calm an smooth ride I got quote from one of the garage for approx 2000 dhms and I dropped the plan to change 😜

You did with 2 Ton Xterra on the crest in last drive I drove your car with AC while getting Engine oil for RAV4, long ago. Also sat in Sertac XJ Perfectly cooling AC and XJ doesn't come in one sentence.

ok guys, update, be careful when pulling out the window and trying it. You can actually pull the motor and break it. I found out the hard way. Good thing is that I have no rattles whatsoever now !!

Not attempted, so no comments You need to sit in my car to see how good the AC works. There was a time when it would cross 140. It can still manage with a lot of parts shaking. But I feel it's too much of a torture to put the old lady through

Congrats on your new ride, you made a good choice over a Pajero (from another topic) from comfort, luxury, power, and resale aspect by spending extra cash. Tire pressure generally should be between 30-35 PSI, 2-3 PSI more than the door sill is acceptable, as far you keep all 4 tires on the same pressure. I inflate all my cars at 35 PSI and check once a month, that gives the room to drop them to 30 PSI in a month's time. For accessories, you can find plenty in naif or in Sharjah tire market next to Sahara center, before the BMW road.

The old Pajero is a bit quirky and is not the best at anything, but then again it's cheap, reliable, and puts a smile on my face while driving it. I've driven many modern, premium cars, but i got annoyed at the smallest creaky noises from the dashboard or seats, while this one rattles on like a horse and carriage, but it never bothers me. The fact that i can do small upgrades and repairs by myself (old technology) also helps.

We always do the optional BBQ next to the track which is closer to the road, so that anyone can leave immediately after the drive or little later as per their convenience.

Feel of the car(driving a beast) including simple and easy to use setup.

I had the same issue and used WD40 as well. It's sand that is causing the noise.

You can replace only the bushes, but if you do, make sure you get them from a Mitsubishi dealership. It has been my experience that most aftermarket bushes wear out within a couple of months, leaving you with same problem again.

I believe you should change the timing belt not for the km for the year. It has 5 year life time.

Hello Guys, I am joined carnity today. I have 2013 , 3.8 Pajero. Every time I accelerate my car there is sound from rear end like jerk or back lash sound, specially in traffic where we need to accelerate the car more often. I checked with 2 garages. They said this is common 4X4 cars specially pajero's. They are not able to give what exactly this sound and how to rectify this. Is this noise common in all pajero's. Please advise. Thanks, Rohan

Hyundai Accent The 2019 Hyundai Accent is a fuel-efficient and fun compact economy car. The exterior is a symphony of tight, straight lines and flowing curves, making it look more expensive than it really is. Headlamps are projectors with a thin row of Daytime Running LED's making it pretty classy. The rear LED taillights look modern and attractive too. The sloping roof and the rising shoulder line add bulk to the rear doors, but that can be corrected by opting for bigger, lower-profile (205/45 R17) wheels and tires. On the inside the seats are comfortable but not supportive. They aren't power-adjustable either, which is not so good because everyone else does have power seats. However if you're the only one who will drive this car, then how often do you want to adjust your seating positions anyway? Finding a good driving position isn't hard at all – everything is manually adjustable. The gear lever both manual and automatic are placed perfectly to reach without an effort. Two dials and a 3.5” monochrome screen form the instrument cluster. A bigger 5” touchscreen controls audio and helps you reverse. At the bottom lie two 12-Volt outlets, a USB port and an auxiliary jack. Storage cubbies are right where you would expect, and very useful too. Despite a high loading lip and narrow opening, the trunk is very usable and very large – with a 387-liter capacity which can be expanded by folding the 60-40 split rear seats. Speaking of rear seats, three can sit here comfortably for shorter journeys. Legroom is merely adequate and head room is at a premium, but thigh and lumbar support is good. It feels nice and airy inside the cabin with the large windows, light-colored materials and a sunroof. You can have the 2019 Hyundai Accent with a 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine or with a 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine. The former produces 99 hp and 13.5 kgm (136 Nm) of torque, while the latter makes 121 hp and 15.4 kgm (156 Nm) of torque. However the 1.6 liter engine is smoother and responsive. By no means does it make this a fast car (0-100 kmph in 10.3 seconds, compared with 11.3 for the base model) but it makes city driving a breeze definitely. Fuel economy is 6.28 L/100 (15.9 kmpl) for the base 1.4 liter model and 6.41 L/100 (15.6kmpl) for the 1.6 liter engine. Transmissions are available in 6-speed manual, and a 6-speed automatic whichever best suits your driving style. Driven sensibly, the 2019 Hyundai Accent is quiet and composed and looks like a fresh business suit. It drives well, too. The chassis (monocoque frame) is rigid and the car feels composed and predictable in the corners. The steering feedback is not much but it doesn't lack in accuracy. The suspension swallows small bumps gives the car a flat ride over bad surfaces but produces a lot of squat and dive. Even as the Hyundai Accent never had sporting aspirations, this new 2019 model is a good car to drive. Hyundai has worked hard to improve the weight and damping of the clutch, gear lever, brakes, and steering, and the results are tremendous. There is a tightness to this Hyundai that puts it right up there with the Japanese car models. UAE prices for the 2019 Hyundai Accent start at AED 50,500. To get the bigger engine you'd have to spend AED 52,500. The top-of-the-line trim level demands AED 59,500. At these rates the Accent is cheaper than similar Japanese vehicles. This makes Hyundai Accent a very good value for money car. We recommend the 1.6-liter Accent which is better, safer, and has a known record of reliability. Agree with you all on dealers tampering with odometer. But i feel the dealer i purchased from is one of the reputed one. i can say they are number 1 in used car market. Though the price they quote is comparatively on a higher side but it comes with 1 year / 20,000 kms warranty. Also they have showed me the work done prior to delivery/after they purchased the vehicle. i dont trust anyone blindly but i felt assured by them. Lets hope for the best. 🤞

What I learnt till now is this dash rattling is common in Pajero on rough terrains and humps/jumps. This is because there is no metal/iron bracket support in 4th gen Pajero. I have seen on another forum, Some people in Cape Town made a iron bracket and install it via opening front end of dashboard and it reduces this rattling in rough roads. Not sure if someone does so in UAE too.

Also, I need your recommendations of some garage in Sharjah for this work in AED 1.5-2K please. Any advise on who can help me in Sharjah/Dubai to fix dashboard noise. It doesn't produce any noise on smooth roads but only while moving over humps or think yellow lines found mostly on road turns in Dubai. Does anyone fix the metal brackets here?
