On my last trip to China, i was very impressed to see at least 25% of all cars on the road to be electric vehicles. Scooters were 100% electric, as most busses too. Taxis were 50/50. With all these new brands coming out of the far east, i am thoroughly curious to see how fast the rest of the world will pick up. One of the cars that surprised me the most, was the BAIC EU5 R500, which has 225hp and has an autonomy of 415 kilometers. I wouldn't mind driving one for my daily commute.

Just checked my Dubai Police Fines to see the 25% reduction for the first quarter. What a relief......! 500 become 380 400 become 300 600 become 450

Try disconnecting the air flow meter and drive a bit and see what happens. If the problem goes away, you need a new air flow meter. Don’t drive long term with the airflow meter disconnected, it will cause other problems down the line. Other causes can be bad spark plugs or coils, amongst others. Weak spark can cause hesitation under load. Doing a diagnostic scan is the way to go but I’d try disconnecting the airflow meter first. Pretty common fault.

Thanks, and yes, solar in combination with battery packs is the ultimate solution to charge. Also to consider Dubai is giving free Salik, free parking, and free charging points to accelerate the EV initiative. I agree that is still picking up slowly in UAE, but from what i've seen in China, this will suddenly boost and looking at companies like Volvo that will go full electric by 2025 only emphasizes the fact that finally the big players are joining the show. We looked into solar panels for our factory roofs, but payback is still 5-6 years which is for many companies not interesting enough. Prices however are dropping further, and leasing options are plenty. Tesla did the ground work and might be drowning now, but the market is finally maturing and i am sure there is no way back.

Wow, that's a nice sharing of cool tech and interesting stat of China moving toward the smoke-free nation. An ideal way to go is to place all solar panel on the roof, that can recharge those batteries during the daytime. Even if its slow charge they can take up to 2-3 days to fully charge as anyways people only drive cars for 5% - 10% of the whole 24 hours time. Rest of the time they can be utilized to do something to save the environment, time and money.

I think we need to define the word "legend",and what it means to different people. For instance, some people see the Tooth Fairy, the Easter Bunny, and Santa Claus as legends, while others consider vampires, sea monsters, trolls, and goblins as legends. There are many other examples but in which category of legends do Jeeps fall? The warm and fuzzy kind, or the kind that nightmares are made of?

You can enjoy the rocky formation and clear water shoreline is amazing, of course with sandals as the beach is mixed with sand and rocks. If you plan to stay here for long, you should carry enough water and food as there is no grocery or cafeteria nearby. You can fill up the petrol in the last Adnoc Fuel station at Qareen Al Aish and pack up the food supplies as this Adnoc gas station is big enough to have a convinient store, ATM, restaurant and toilets. Online GPS is a must for driving (offline is even better), carry plenty of water and food if you plan to stay outdoors for long hours. Keep it clean: Don't litter anywhere, because trash cans, plastic and glass kill wildlife. Emergency: If bitten by a snake or a Scorpio take a picture or remember the colour and size and rush to the nearest hospital for a specific antidote for that species. As you all know. I bought a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with 4.0 Inline 6 engine. So it is like after some break i replace my legendary money pit Cherokee with this Grand Cherokee. I got the car yesterday. Till now i drove around 200km and first impressions are very good. It was a well maintained family car. It is way comfortable than Cherokee. It has the same engine with Cherokee. Seats, mirrors, windows are electric operated. It has infinity gold sound system(not that nice actually). What i like is it is all original not modified and no accident in history. I will try to keep it in this condition. I am not planing any modification or any change.

I called the Dubai Police for more clarity: If you have previous traffic fines from last year, they are also applicable in this "Settle your traffic fines" initiative but the time will start from today - 6 Feb 2019. So if from today till next 3 months you follow traffic rules and don't get any traffic fines, then last year fine will be discounted by 25%, for 6 months = 50% and so on. If you are renewing your car next month or so, you can still renew the car without paying Dubai Police Fines. You need to go to the traffic department - they have options to renew your car without paying any traffic fines from Dubai police.

I hve done 15+ drives in sand dunes including the Gulf News drive n Liwa

I second with dude on that, I had them in my LC as it comes stock all yota 4x4's. Its the most annoying tires I have ever used. Screeching on roundabout, louder on road, humming as they get old, and worst was offroad - pop out on every drive even at 14-15 psi. Cant say much on life much as I threw them away after half life, but I suspect around 30-40 k kms you can get if you can live with all the above side effects.

Hey Guys, My 3.8 Gen3 is running really rough and jerky accelerating below 2.2-2.3K RPMS, after that it smoothens out. Any Ideas what could be wrong? Cheers, Jas

But considering the high temperatures, I wouldn’t advise you to go to Salalah or Shuweihat at this time. Of course it would be possible by night but if you can’t enjoy the views...

I think you need to be a good driver for the whole year to get 100% . if you've been a good driver for the whole year you wouldn't have any fines. What's the criteria for being a good driver?
