  2. @Vanessa8580 thank you for the great drive yesterday really enjoyed it, it had a little of everything at a really great pace, as always in this area was a little bumpy and busy with the dreaded dune buggies and motocross guys that are really difficult to spot. We had a great S/L by @Ignacio Quindós who did a fantastic job for his first time in the position and @Looper for keeping us all together at the back with some awesome sweeping. @Sunny84, @Jonny90, @takeshi sobue, @Jona you guys drove superbly which made our jobs of supporting the drive so much easier, great to meet you all and hope to see you all again in the sand very soon :):)

  3. Dear Sand Sailors Thanks for joining in for the drive today morning. It was full of action. Though we started off a bit later than planned, the enthusiasm of the convoy, awesome team work - meant despite all the challanges, we in the end conquered the goal we had set for our selves. Picture below is testimony of how well you all managed the drive. We were throughout above 200mtr mark. Great job all. Area 53 is undoubtedly a challenging terrain usually being explored by Intermediate and above level. However, the camaraderie and skill set of this convoy ensured that there was nothing that could limit us. You all were just awesome - the only time we took rope and shovel out was my own stuck in that pocket. Rest was limited to refusals and were all nicely handled by the convoy. Special thanks to @imranaasghar81 @Imteeaz for all the support throughout the drive and helping the drivers. We had our fair share of vehicle issue - MAF sensor of @Jose Thomas giving up under the severe test and ofcourse the scariest of all - @Beide Worku 's F150 show at the end of the drive. But again the team work and energy managed to beat all that was thrown at this convoy. Really proud to be part of this group. @Morshedi - 2 times in a row, you were just awesome as SL. @Sam K @Mahmoud Taha - apart from couple of refusals you both were awesome on your first FB+ drives. Brilliantly driven. @salah2u the magic of new tyres was very clear today. @Prakash Anoop @Haitham Khattab Red carpet drive for your Red Rubicons. Very well driven throughout. @takeshi sobue - Just another wow drive for you. Also, very nicely executed the tug - an FJ pulling out an F150 was a sight. Thanks for your support. @Jose Thomas - very nicely driven - few refusals at this level of terrain is very well acceptable. @Imran Kashif - another brilliant drive. @Beide Worku - thanks for all the support keeping the convoy togather. Wasnt an easy task today with all the high dunes we climbed today. All the best with your vehicle. Thanks all, looking forward to drive with this awesome convoy sometime soon. Till then have fun.

  6. Really enjoyable drive this morning @Hisham Masaad. It’s never easy maintaining rhythm when there is such a large convoy, but we had a real bursts of intense fast pace driving. Appreciate also extending the drive by an hour to let us tackle super bowl. @Amir Amirihope the tank is ok.

  8. An old story forever locked up within me! Today, I have decided to get this outstanding drive into words, still not being enough. Driving through liwa dunes every winter is always a pilgrimage journey for me, where I get the chance to explore more, and this time my plan was to pierce the proper liwa dunes. We had attempted the planned track twice before, which we were unable to complete due to reasons. This time, I had planned on starting from Liwa city, towards the moreeb dune where we can find one of the most tallest dune in the UAE and one of the largest hill climbs in the world. On reaching the moreeb dune, my further plan was to return back from where we had started. Returning back to the start point through the slip face was really challenging for me, but surely @Frederic made my plan much easier by sharing a track which helped me execute it better. "Thank you my Freddy boy" It was quite a short distance, around 70km, with extreme challenge being faced. I believe this track could be the maximum level of dunes which can be attained filled with number of pockets, bowls, sharp ridges and massive slip faces which is next to impossible to climb, and of course the unpredictable soft patches. The dune formation in Liwa is totally different from what we usually drive through. Climbing to the top of the dunes is really challenging, and once you reach to the top, the rolling dunes are marvelous, making it really enjoyable to drive on those sets of rolling dunes. We had a very short and sweet convoy @ShereenMK in his Land cruiser was my second lead promptly correcting the tracks whenever i had an obstacle. @Karthikeyan Govindarajan was behind him in his LC followed by @Mus_hus78 with his co pilot Khaleel bhai in his pajero and finally at the end @Rob H with his black panther tundra. I salute you all for driving in one of the most challenging dunes without a single stuck which is really commendable. It was a beautiful morning on February, 27th 2022 and @Rob H was the first one to arrive at the meeting point and he was waiting for us with deflated tyres and flag on. Everyone showed up after me and we all were set to go on time. After safety briefing and few tips from my previous attempts to cross on those monster dunes, we left to explore them. It was really challenging for me to lead the track and find a easy way out through the pockets and soft patches all over the track. I was the only one who got stuck and recovered 3 to 4 times. At one point, at the time of recovery I ended up with flat tyre and after inflating we noticed that the air was escaping through the rim bead. The challenge was to pop out the tyre to clean the sand. I learnt a new technic from @Rob H (Rob Harper) who is by profession a race car expert on how to pop out tyres without moving the vehicle. After a quick fix we reached moreeb dunes prior to the planned time. We all had lot of fun trying to climb the slip face straight up and exit straight down for almost 1 hour. After fulfilling our quench to play and having quick snacks we planned to drive back to the start point which I planned parallel to the track we went. It was really challenging to drive back through slip face but we did it and exited the drive on time by 3pm. It was a wonderful experience for me which is one of my the best desert drive and looking forward to drive in such terrains again. Salute to all of you for your support and for joining the drive and make my dream come true. See you all this winter - "LIWA Returns" And last but most important, would thank my daughter Zaina, who navigated me throughout the drive and has already started reading the dunes.

  10. Thank you @Srikumar, on my 62nd drive with my Y62 I got my 1st pop-out 😂 Definitely need to keep distance from you next time to avoid hearing "Exit exit" when i'm already in the pocket 🙈 It was a small friendly convoy, I can't imagine sharing 8-slices of Parathas with 10-people-convoy 😅. This photo below sums up the Drive Excitement: Good driving with you guys @GauravSoni @MMansoor

  12. @Hisham Masaad great drive this morning, which was setup with a small climb within the first few hundred meters, the stage was set for the rest of the drive. There were the normal issues given the size of the convoy but between these events there were lots of climbs and amazing routes that the convoy made through the desert. @Rob S @Waqas Parvez thank you for the support and @Alexanderrr thanks for the Sl and well kept up with Hisham

  19. @Srikumar I want to personally thank you for organizing this drive. I know how devastated you were when the car broke down during the night intermediate drive and snice then you have been testing your car to make sure we all have fun and have no regrets. We started off with big dunes where we were driving at a fast speed and switching from one ridge to another. The weather was ideal for us to have pauses in between and play around the enormous bowl where we all seemed to fly 😊. The rest of the convoy drove very well @Amr Aydin @Imteeaz @Karthikeyan Govindarajan @takeshi sobue @Imran Kashif @ASAD. @Charbel with control and pushed their cars to the limit while equally vital being safe. @Asif Hussain thank you for joining as your the king of sweihan and liwa, you made sure that you rerouted us and helping us getting out of difficult patches. @Zed thank you for all your support as CF and shoveling @Mohamad Anwer its been a pleasure to have you in the drive as usual (my wing man ) i have added few photos in the gallery

  20. Hi everyone. Let me start by shouting a big thanks to all of you who helped and cared during my unfortunate tire event, specially to @Hisham Masaad and @Mohamad Anwer for doing the technical part and to my good friend @Miguel Codesfor all his tools and gadgets. Sorry for stopping the wonderful drive for a while. 800aed after, I’m ready to go again 😜. Apart from the tire drama, I enjoyed so much the drive. Some lines were unbelievable, Mr. Masaad you are straight on my top 3 leader’s table. The strength of the convoy was also remarkable, with some stellar climbings too… @Mahmoud Taha @Sam K was nice to see you again. Thanks @Chinthaka Ruwan for the CF duties and @TT_Dubai for the sweep. Cheers!
