@Carnity thank you for such an amazing event. Good to see everyone doing things differently in the sand. First time I got a chance to take my family in the desert and they loved it so much that from next year I get to do Saturday and Sunday drives 😂

BIG SHOUT OUT AND THANKS to everyone who joined yesterday's Winter Welcome Drive with their friends and family to make it so grand and colorful. It was really nice to see almost everyone with their families prepping the BBQ and live cooking, while kids played around the whole evening. The real fun time was the stories and jokes after the food, which made us laugh so hard that none of us wanted to leave and push the time 30 min by 30 min. @DP1011 , Deepak wrangler your idea of serving pani puri in the desert was so epic and creative that more than the taste (which was AWESOME), I love this amazing concept. @Kailas u perfectly captured the @Gok Krish chef recipe to cook perfectly well-done thermo-controlled BBQ Chicken. @Looper 1 liter cans were another new stuff that I have seen for the first time. Thanks, @GauravSoni to keep us warm with Mexican flavor. @Frederic and @Vanessa8580 we missed you and the kids a lot yesterday - our true party companion. Wish you a speedy recovery Vanessa, so that we can repeat the same on New Year's Eve, soon.

Thank you @Carnity Team for organizing this amazing gathering today. My whole family enjoyed it and i loved seeing old and new friends. Should do this more often, gives a different taste & feel to offroading.

FANTASTIC EVENT. This was the best way to Welcome Winter !💥🙌🏼! Great concept and the way it was organised, the location! Thanks @Carnity @Gaurav @Kailas @Mehmet Volga @Brette @JeromeFJ and all the supports, the warm up drives, that motivated 3 more kids from my tower, to jump in for this event . And for me : Those conversarions which we had surrounding the "Pajero bowl" , made me the only guy who had his 10k next day and despite this who dint say NO for @Gaurav Soni's Mexican and @Looper's One liter drinks! @Srikumar First time i witessed 1-2 rollovers in Pajero bowl yday but only the driver not the car😂, Hence FUN!💥! @Kailas the half information receipe from @Gok Krish's Cook, am sure the outcome was delicious, next time some veg options too pls😂! @Karthik Raptor Thanks for coming to rescue for that Gasoline cylinder, Family stayed back 2 more hours as it kept them busy in Maggie😂! and @Vaibhav Next time u gott to get spare driver for obvious reasons! Huge Thanks @Gaurav Soni and @Looper for dropping me off to tarmac! And Yes, I was well in time for my 10k Run @Simon D🕺😂! Great laughter with you too my friend towards the end! Great fun! Missed some though! Nevertheless reading this and other comments am sure they will be for sure joiining the next one! Till then see u all in sands! 🙌🏼 and @Gauravbhai, next event I have thought of a different concept "stall" : Bonfire and Marshmellows in the centre of camp for kids😂, So its a self service stall;)

Cracking drive yesterday! Everyone drove well, no pop-outs, no overheating cars, just two crestings (mentioning no names :p) that were resolved with a rope. First time my shovel has stayed in the car for a while!! Thanks @Islam Soliman for great drive, well done to @DP1011 , Deepak wrangler at SL and @Zixuan Huang - Charlie in the middle. great to catch up with some old friends and meet some new faces @Beide Worku and @Gok Krish see you all again soon

Missed the event, im sure was a wonderful gathering. Unfortunately my family doesn't share my enthusiasm for the desert so had other plans 😅. Hopefully will be able to convince them for next time.

Yeah lots of stories to tell at camp fire 🔥 we still have the whole winter inshallah . every time I finish a drive I get inspired of what the next one would be and almost always reality comes far more beautiful than my fantasy

Thanks @Gaurav for arranging a fantastic evening and a brilliant company recollecting all our desert stories and jokes. Just because someone was getting late for an early morning Dubai Run we had to cut short our evening. Hope to continue the stories and laughter again in YT Liwa.

I hope your knuckles are still in place 😂

Thank you @Islam Soliman - Fantastic would be understatement for this drive ! Right from the start till the time we exited, the smooth flow of convoy, covering long range dune, pace and technical patches, and soft sand adding to challenges that we were looking forward to - Couldn't have been better to spend Satday morning other than this way - barely Minimal refusals were confirmation how everyone else did in the convoy ! I found my new love : Shuwaib ( Sorry for the confusion at end point and holding the convoy - I couldn't resist those coconut water the minute i saw them ) Thanks @Rob S for being the sweep and keeping a clear eye on everyone , also assisting refusals. @Zixuan Huang - Charlie for being on your toes to assist those refusals and tugs ! And as always was great to see you all guys ! @Haitham Khattab @Gok Krish @Beide Worku @Imteeaz @Joji varghese @Sunil Mathew - Am sure, as for me, this drive will be long cherished by you guys too ! See you all soon again in sand !

Thanks @Zixuan Huang - Charlieand and @Rob Sfor the help and support. @Haitham Khattabahead of me was flying, thanks to his Red car, I would find him in another bowl easily if I had lagged behind. @DP1011 , Deepak wrangler@Imteeaz, JoJi, good to see u guys. I am sure I missed some names but that is me and memory for names. Will post some videos guys soon. All the best best for the coming drives and have a great week ahead ..

I Finished my regular mid-day offroad drive and felt a bit of steering play, the next day it started to increase a bit, I went to Dobinson (as I had modified my suspension from them) and they suggested it might be coming from steering rack, I went to my local garage and while just approaching the garage my front wheel came off. (My front brakes got damaged ), luckily it was not on high speed otherwise it would have been a disaster. I got my tyres balanced by one of the renowned tyre shops four days ago, when we inspected the car, we saw that the lug nut threads had completely worn off because the tyre shop had overtightened them, and as a result of the heat, they had completely melted on to the studs. I would like to highlight below point. · Increase of steering vibration the first thing to check is your tyre lug nuts. · Make sure you are vigilant when your getting your tyre lug nuts fixed. · Inspect your lugs threads when ever you change your tyres. · In case of excessive vibration, “Do not drive your car”

It happened to me back in the UK, mysteriously all the nuts came off. We were on the M1 motorway at 100 miles/hour and luckily the tyre didn’t come off, else would have been a major disaster! Only a few days before the car went through a major service and MOT.

Wow amazing description .. sad that I missed it … skipped the DXB Run as was sure won’t be able to make it after winter drive and eventually missed both.. 😀 Wow pani Puri in desert … you sure was pani? As description from @DP1011 , Deepak wrangler on @Vaibhav driving skill post events seem to refer to some Goan speciality 🤣 @Kailas reference to @Goh KP’s chef is in itself mouth watering, tried some flavors last year and still haven’t forgotten the taste. I know bro! Crazy work travel routines. Haven’t gotten two consecutive weekends in Dubai in five months. Hopefully in 2023 😂

@Karthikeyan GovindarajanAnna, when refuelling, do you mind fetching a medium sized Starbucks Americano black. I am equipped to offer cold water, freshly squeezed juices all through the trip. Thanks. When at campsite, First few 7-10 lucky ones to find me seated and reach out to me, will be able to address their quench for some Spicy Pani Puri ( Indian Snack, water balls) !

That doesn't applies to Jeeps and especially XJs..

@Abdul Mueed Mohammedmaybe GR Sport version is what you need look for, which got more ground clearance and equipped with front and rear diff lock will be one of best luxury you can get in sticky situations.

So, I leave the garage in ajman after having my front drive shaft serviced... arrive at the meetup point nearly 3-hours later. It's 2am, and I think... that's a few hours sleep, all good. I pull off the road, air down, and throw my jeep into 4H, thinking to find a sweet spot in the soft sands for my tent away from the road. But instead of a smooth pull away, i hear a loud *clunk clunk clunk* as my drive train begins to spin in its 4H state. Bad sound. Back into 2H.... no clunking. 4H... clunking. I've spent the last 2 hours trying to figure out where the fault is, and I can only assume it's in the transfer case, as everything else spins in 2H as well, minus the engaged transfer case gear, unless the now active torque is engaging the front differential in a funny way. Anyways, my xj needs to get sorted out further.... back to the garage. Apologies, Asif.
