Hi buddy @Dorian Zissi You remind me of my excitement when I joined the club back in 2022 - and only later I understood the reason for having Grading and the drives tuned to the ranks , what you get learn and get trained in NB is different in FB and only with couple of drives in NB you will be able to keep up with the confidence and pace which is different in one level up drive vs your current rank in @Carnity. I can assure you why perhaps there are no exception to this, as Safety first is the prime principle . However if you have prior extensive off-roading experience, with couple of more NB drives you can certainly apply for promotion and based on feedbacks from leads/supports - You might be able to move up ladder (from NB to FB), looking forward to catch up with your excitement in one of drives to come soon !

Sorry @Frederic I wrongly compared 1st Gear 4Lo with 1st Gear 4Hi, should be 4th Gear 4Lo (cos my transmission is 4-speed) and 1st Gear 4 Hi., So the new calculation D. 4Lo Crawl Ratio on 4th Gear 4Lo = 0.75 4th Gear x 3.12 4Lo x 4.88 front & rear diff = 11.42 on 4th Gear 4Low E. 4Lo Crawl Ratio on 3rd Gear 4Lo = 1.00 3rd Gear x 3.12 4Lo x 4.88 front & rear diff = 15.23 on 4th Gear 4Low Yes you're right, my 3rd Gear 4Lo (point E) will now be similar to my 1st Gear 4Hi (point C) once I upgrade to 10% underdrive gear on the transfer case 😁

Better late than never..... here's a short briefing for tomorrow's drive. I will wait for the drivers just past the automatic gate, off the right turn-off on E20, coming from Faqa. The drive will be among a nice set of long-range dunes, quite large and with some small trees dotting the "valleys" between each cordon. After zigzagging along this area, we'll head north, toward E14, and possibly Faqa, crossing a mix of more technical dunes, sabkhas, and a few tall red dunes. The short convoy should be able to move at a brisk pace. The convoy order will be the following: @PETELCZYC PAJERO - luke in Second Lead @James Lovell at #3 @Michael Chattle at #4 @Gautam Banka at #5 @FERNANDO SYRIO at #6, and @Rk ram in Sweep. The Carnity radio channel of choice will be #2 (466.031). Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow. Hi @Dorian Zissi. I understand your desire, but this is not possible. Besides, the drive is in a complex and challenging area, and requires that all drivers have gained and practiced all the necessary skills. Sorry to disapoint.

how do i edit the sound out of my videos of my screaming passengers? 😎😜

I would like to share my experience with my own car which I know exactly where its center of gravity lies , so should every one know his own car point of center of gravity. From the clip it looks like the car is inclined toward the other side the slip side . However with close observation ( that’s why always get out of your car when feasible and safe and look around ) the center of gravity didn’t cross the crest and the crest acted like a ( speed bump ) to overcome forward. Consequently it would be easier to reverse it down than to overcome it because the center of gravity is at the hard side of the crest irrespective of how the apparent looking of the car. now as such and without shovelling the backward gentle stretch or pull as you see in the clip is far easier than if we have tried from in front . To make this more clear . Let’s imagine if we have shovelled properly creating the V channel just clearing the ( speed pump ) this means we moved the center of gravity passed the crest toward the slip side or at least no speed pump or crest to over come and then the forward movement will bring it down As this is the most common scenario we encounter . see below please from another Carnity drive last winter in lisaili Now look closely the little difference with great impact after shovelling . I didn’t even need to press the gas just lifting off the brake and here we go
