Dear Desert Adventurers, well we said it would be an adventure and it did not disappoint, we had some tricky technical areas, coupled with vegetation that made the going tougher than I would have like at the start but you all managed it extremely well. the second half of the drive saw us flowing through so longer-range dunes. we had very few refusals and only one stuck where we did have to get the shovels out and a couple of winches and a rope, this was at a tricky angle but you guys were amazing and assisted me to get it resolved quickly and effortlessly so well done and thank you. Fantastic S/L from @Joseph Raju you did everything right hanging back enough to give yourself time to react to my instructions well done. @Sunil Mathew brilliant as always at sweep you did amazingly well keeping the convoy together and me informed. @Pierre de Maigret and @Bjoern you guys as did the other team members drove exceptionally well in as we described above so tricky terrain so well done to you all. @Paolo Pellegrini @Islam Soliman sorry we lost you guys so early, but it was hot hot hot, hope you get on top of you heating issues and we see you in the sand again very soon.

When you see any FJC fish tails on the ridge like that , you better hold your heart and pray 🙏

Thank you for the hot afternoon drive @Davie Chase through a tricky, bumpy, vegetative terrain!! Faqa is definitely not one of my favourite terrains going forward , but the drive was pretty intense at many places due to short and steep climbs, technical dunes, avoiding trees, shrubs , bushes , steps etc and keeping our cars stable on low rise side slopes, trying to get on top of ridges, negotiating sharp drops etc. I've got a scary moment of fishtailing captured on my dash cam, posting here for academic purposes It was good to see @Islam Solimanback in action after a break, but his car had other plans, decided to boil over and shut down ...hope you get it sorted, and return to the sands to retain your title of Carnity's only LWB truck marshal!! @Paolo Pellegrini's drive also had to be cut short due to overheat , see you soon mate! Good to drive with all fellow Carnitians @Joseph Raju - who had to respond to a good number of terrain warnings from Davie , and reacted quickly. @Pierre de Maigret - who is joining after a long break from offroading , and looks like you feel a bit rusty and @Bjoern - our paths cross again, good to see you . Looking forward to more drives in this hot summer, making most of the low traffic in the dunes!!!

Thank you @Davie Chase for the afternoon hot drive. After some time my car shows atmospheric temperature is 50 degree It was a tough terrain and hot climate but convoy performed very well. see you all in next drive

Thank for joining on this drive @Alphin Aloor@Tom V@Gok Krish@Srikumar! As soon as the sun started to settle, we headed South to explore and see what was in store for us in this mostly unknown desert. As expected we found bushes, and lots of them ! Apparently a few ghosts along the way as well Some areas proved to be quite technical, and the low gear was often the only rescue to get through the powderish soft sand. Where i could, i chose to zip through existing farm tracks so we had some relief from the bumpy terrain. We exited close to Rashidiya, and i think this was a kind of overlanding / rocking / rolling desert drive that might be worth exploring during daylight as well. Thanks for the drive today Looper, technical in LWB is always fun lol, was a good mix today few fast bits and pretty much smooth sailing! the wind at the end was making visibility extreme at the end. Great drive Thanks and hope to see you on the next one

It was a pleasure for me to be a part of the convoy and a thrilling and unforgettable experience; the added excitement of driving amid a storm made it even more unique and memorable. I must also acknowledge that the seamless and enjoyable journey was made possible for me by the impressive "Jeep Power." Thanks to Rob and Ranjan for their valuable support throughout the drive and Mohit as the second lead. To Saverio, RK Ram, Christian, Juan, Arda, and Bjoern, it was a pleasure meeting you and experiencing the drive as a cohesive team. I look forward to meeting all of you again in future drives. Once again, thank you, Gowtham, for providing us with a cherished experience.

Thanks @Alexanderrr and @Mark B for joining the drive. And also waiting for me. Somehow I missed my 4 am alarm and got up when the clock said time is 5:00 am. We completed the first 33 km till Murquab hill in about hour and 20 mins without a single refusal in what is definitely an intense technical drive which shows your prowess in the off-road driving skills. while my GPS says the we had a beak of 9 min in the total drive time of 2:30 min drive, I am pretty sure that we stopped about 18 min on the hill itself. The route 66 has stoped being a gravel track and the desert has consumed it completely. it was a mild FB level drive in it as well. In the last section too we drove though some very tall but technical dunes and both of you did an excellent job keeping up with the pace. Towards the end we had our couple of refusals just before the exit and @Alexanderrr it was great to see your Pajero do what it is most definitely can do in capable hands, it was an excellent self recovery from a crest. @Mark B it was amazing to see your extended LWB Gladiator keep up with the track made by my tiny SWB Jeep Wrangler. See you both soon. The black track was my planned track that I planned on my desktop but it did not sync with the phone, but it's miraculous that I pretty much kept with it. There are a couple of sections in the Route 66 that my phone glitched and did not record and skipped a bit of track.

Thank you everyone for joining this drive. From the convoy itself one could tell that it was a formidable line up with all excellent off-road cars. Within the first hour we were able to cover over 60% of the planned track and I was looking to extend the time somehow because we were almost at the end by 7:30 itself. Few refusals here and there and a couple of loops around the track made up of the fast pace and we completed the drive on time at 9 am. @Mohit Gurnani you did an excellent job at second lead today, keeping distance. I hope you had a good practice using that magical A Trac of yours. @Saverio Arena this was your first fewbie drive but you drove very well without any refusals. @Rk ram you drove quite well, with more practice hesitation if any will go away and gradually you will learn where the push the car and where not to do it. Keeping an eye on the front car how it did will guide you towards it. @Deepak Eswar you were flawless on this drive, of course the SWB Jeep Wrangler JL would have made everything easy as well. @Rob S it was great to see you once again, and thanks for anchoring the drive in the middle and being part of every refusal. @Cristian we drive again and hope you had enjoyed the drive. As usual you were excellent. @Juan R the second white wrangler in the convoy, you have driven more than half of your FB drives with me but this time it was different that it was not a surprise lead from me for you 😝. @Arda Yagcioglu welcome back after the break, and I hope all the off-road driving rust has been removed with this one. @Bjoern good to have you at the back and what can I say, you have always been excellent with that car of yours. @Ranjan Das Thanks taking up the responsibilities of the sweep and doing much of the tugging we had to do today.
