@M.Seidam it was wonderful drive today, started with slow phase and moved up gradually, where it was accepted by everyone in the convoy @Issam AtraYou were exceptionally watchful and attentive to every movement, adding a touch of beauty to the second lead. @Mostafa Nasef You were truly impressive on your inaugural drive, handling some challenging stretches with skill and confidence. @Dan S You've demonstrated excellent driving skills, and it's evident that you've learned how to navigate crests with your long truck and handle them effectively. This experience will undoubtedly enhance your driving abilities. Additionally, your attentiveness to the car in front and maintaining proper spacing was commendable. @S.Mahesh I hope your children had a great time during the drive. Your responsiveness when we were providing guidance was appreciated, and it emphasizes the importance of us offering our support to you. @Rafey Hashmi I don't have much more to say; your consistent attention to the cars ahead, your adherence to proper spacing, and your commendable driving performance show your eagerness to further develop your driving skills. @Ali Al Moumar, @Ishak @Abhilash Kottakkal, @Sreenath GYou've showcased outstanding driving abilities. @IshakHope your friends enjoyed the drive. @Ali Al Moumar thank you for the tea. @Joji varghese amazing sweep. While off-roading, we consistently encounter unforeseen surprises.8 points

Drive report Thank you guys for the previous comments and the nice photos and clip . Nothing much left to say except to thank you all for being on time and adhering to the convoy discipline throughout the whole drive, hence we had an enjoyable safe drive . Also it was a pleasure meeting all these new fine faces as well as familiar ones .Noticeable were @Mostafa Nasef an absolutely first time in sand and @Dan S first time in a convoy after a masterclass . Truly I was impressed with both getting into the game very fast handling their own vehicles very nicely and recovering themselves from situations without the need to pull a rope from the trunk . Well done . Special thanks to @Rajiv Sam in the middle and @Joji varghese at the tail of the convoy whom they spared no effort guiding helping and watching on all of us . Same goes to @Issam Atra who played the second lead rule fantastically. Loved your communication and clarity on radio . remaining fellow drivers @S.Mahesh @Rafey Hashmi @Ali Al Moumar @Ishak @Abhilash Kottakkal @Sreenath G all of you did more than great. I did enjoy the drive along with my little copilot very much and I hope same you did . till we meet once more take care and drive safe π Seidam5 points

Thank you @Frederic for leading, you made a great decision, for us Dubaians, a longer drive home was worth every second. Hope our Abu Dhabi team mates enjoyed the shorter journey home. This drive had me thinking of every desert scene from Star Wars to Indiana jones. We covered a lot of ground had a great pace, radio chatter and beautiful scenery not to mention mid 20s temperatures for the first half of the drive. This drive was the definition of fun, scenery and teamwork .3 points

While leading drives fiddling with the phone became too cumbersome to use the action camera, hence I bit the bullet and bought the second generation GPS remote. This post acts to update my recommendation on the same. I want to update my recommendation here to Buy for the GPS remote if you can afford it. I have seen it being sold at AED 318 on amazon. If you are buying new from Insta360 directly you can add to the shopping cart there to save on the shipping. In the past I had recorded GPS data using my phone when I used to use it as the remote. The data was wrong and all over the place, so much so that I completely disabled recording GPS data. One more benefit I see is, it stays connected to the camera all the time so you can start stop recording whenever you want. With the phone as the remote, if you have used the phone for anything else it would disconnect and sometimes it becomes difficult to connect again. GPS remote connects with the camera in about 5-10 seconds and stays connected till the battery lasts. The remote needs to be near to the camera for the first connection and it stays in connection upto 20 m they say. This I learnt the hard way when in the Badayer drive I set it up on the mount and started to drive, hoping it will connect, but it did not. I had to go near the action camera when we stopped to some weird comments from the convoy as to what I was doing. π The remote shows the battery status for both the camera and the remote. You can circle though the various shooting modes, but it does not go into Video HDR mode in the remote but if activated in the camera it will show and record in that mode. It also shows the time recorded. It comes with a couple of bands, one for wrist and other for a cycle handle bar. The battery for the GPS remote seem to last for 5-6 h ours more than enough for a drive. I have asked the Insta360 guys and they have told me that upto 3 cameras can be connected and activated simultaneously with this remote. I will try to test it when I can and update here.2 points

Thanks for joining today guys ! The original plan of looping around in the Al Hayer South area was dropped when i came to realize our boys from Abu-Dhabi took 1h45mins and more to reach the meeting point. For us Dubai residents it's a rather short drive so i decided to make our way deeper towards the famous Nahel-Sweihan area. All of you drove superbly, and apart from a couple of nice self-recoveries there was hardly any work to do We succeeded to find Old Lady Dune, but found it scattered with crosstracks and that made the climb less fun than a couple of weeks ago. It felt like 50 clubs went through it in the same morning. @Naveen Raj @Rk ram@Patrick van der Loo@Gary F@Zulfikhar Naiyar@Zed@Kailas@Ahmad Nerat@Anoop Nair@Jona@Karthik_LC200 Enjoy the rest of the weekend and see you all soon in the sand again ! https://www.relive.cc/view/vXvL1g2yK1O2 points
