Trip Report - with @Xaf & @Atif bhai write up I'm already feeling this trip report is just a spec in the true expression of this weekend's beautiful drive. The joke of the weekend was as I went to sleep close to 12:30 am I gave task to my daughter to wake me up at 3:30 am. I dreamt that the alarm was ringing which woke me up, I thought I switched off the alarm and headed to my daughter's room to let her know I was up. Her reaction was I thought you asked me to wake you up at 3:30 am, but it's only 3 am now. Was it dream or reality? So confused. I asked her to go to sleep and started getting ready. I was totally undecided about the drive till @Atif bhai generously offered to pick me up and drop me back. I lazily got ready and strolled to the petrol station we were supposed to meet at to see he was already waiting for me. So we made one mote stop for breakfast and we were on our way. Usually I'm very chatty and don't like a silent moment, however enjoyed @Atif bhai's company as he had a few interesting things to say which I could not help but listen. Reached the meeting point, with cold breeze and warm hugs. This was sufficient to get my batteries charged as we moved on to the deflation point. After a quick deflation we had an amazingly energy filled briefing. This ended with the convoy numbering as we headed off to what was going to be an awesome day with amazing people. @Srikumar is having the best time on his side as he cannot keep a foot wrong. There was a huge grin on my face as he took us through some of the most awesome yet manageable dunes. The best thing that happened to me in last 3 year's to miss my Pathy, as it gave me an opportunity to ride along with @Atif bhai who surprised me with his driving style. It was a pleasant surprise to see the ease with which he managed each dune never really making his Prado scream even in the difficult patches. He later confirmed that he never put the pedal to the metal, just enough gas to go through every dune. It was a long convoy of 15 cars and at times the front of the convoy would cross the rear as we went sealing a way to head forward with the entire convoy. @Emmanuel was just making his own path to add a little excitement for the more experienced drivers but the idea was to keep with the convoy. @Shamil had @Gaurav bhai as his co-driver and waiting for that story and their experiences to be shared. Special mention to @Halit Mert Issever who was driving very close to us in the convoy. He had a ear to ear smile and was really testing out his ride to the maximum. From what I was able to see he was enjoying the most among all of us. Thanks for getting long Divya, she had an amazing amount of positive energy and we thoroughly enjoyed her company. Another mention to @adildbx who showed improvement over his last 2 drives and speaking to him at the end I realized it was due to coming out of the shell he had closed himself in. Another interesting read would be the experience of @Jamy B. riding with @Emmanuel. The true adventurers soul in @Jamy B. means she is looking for a ride and we wish her all the best. I have heard so much about @Xaf and how he flies his Land Cruiser with precision, I would like to join him as a passenger any day. We had a couple of situations which gave us all an opportunity to learn, I hope everybody on the drive took some lesson from both situations. I would like to thank @Mohammed Yaasir for allowing me a couple of sessions with his FJ, it is a beautiful machine and a pleasure to drive. Continue to learn and explore, but remember to do it one step at a time. We ended to drive at the meeting point, after inflation we had a nice tea/coffee and snacks. @Xaf the pancakes I got are called Aloo Paratha or Potato embedded bread. Hi everybody. Just a pics from yesterday's drive. I was just enjoying the desert and the great weather, so did not take many. But hope these can be a good reminder of the beautiful day it was, and the sense of freedom and camaraderie of the drive. Have a great week. Ale

As always, my experience with Carnity was invaluable. I learned so much from the ever-patient Emmanuel, who was so generous with his time. I always find members of the group are eager to share their knowledge and desert driving wisdom. I also had the opportunity to see what an Xterra was capable of in the hands of an expert. I’d say let’s start an Xterra fan club! Although Jawaher is one of a kind 😉 Rahimdad and Gaurav took advantage of every mishap into a learning opportunity, of which drivers, and passengers like me, benefited! Srikumar chose the area well. It was greatly appreciated that he accommodated all driver levels. As a beginner, I could see the difference between that level and the one with slightly more difficulty that Emmanuel was methodically planning on the go. Great team work! I know those who were involved in the incidents may not have been so enthusiastic, but for me it was a real opportunity to learn, which I relish. Thank you all for the amazing experience, the nice chat and the delicious breakfast! Can’t wait for the next time!

I want to thank the managers of the Carnity off-road club for having dedicated most of their Fridays to provide people like me a healthy way to enjoy our weekend. I specially want to thank brothers @Rahimdad and @Gaurav for their company and participation despite being handicapped of their fond vehicles. Hope the two 4x4s get well soon! Having one of the two gurus , @Rahimdad, in my car was very exciting as I had access to a great source of desert driving knowledge. Although, I feel guilty of not offering him my vehicle to drive but it was basically to take advantage of every minute of his experience and guidance during this rare opportunity. Overall Carnity has always been a very encouraging group of off-roaders who have helped me get over some of the initial fear of this unknown terrain. Today gave the opportunity to all of us to experience a simple method of recovery from a crested situation as well as the parameters required to solve a pop-out. I request the Carnity team to document these two processes step-by-step along with the safety aspects whenever they get time. On hindsight I wish with someone had recorded the two processes 🤔 A big thanks for the rest of sand riders who gave us good company, see ya soon! A special acknowledgment to @Srikumar for choosing an exciting route that had optimum off-road learning experiences for the newbies and fewbies.

It’s a sight I see every day and i just cannot believe to see that even people from so called first world countries are doing this. In their own country it is a major offense and will get you in serious trouble. I even never understood why people in big SUV’s think that they or their children will be safe from harm in an accident. Pure Stupidity...
