  6. @Chaitanya D is exit point (planned) close to starting point? Plan to camp on 1st night and many who are driving on 2nd plan to camp close to starting point on 1st as well .. so just checking to see if better to align with other group or if too far than in any case will plan differently.

  8. Friends 🥰 the enthusiasm is always enduring when we head to Liwa - a sense of euphoria with an equal amount of anxiousness- a bit. This is what we look for - may be a bit rusted - May be clad in Colors - red green black and white But let’s enjoy the journey than the destination. Foremost on my mind as always - comfort and safety of what we do. there will be no competition and no compulsions . See you all soon

  10. Good evening Chaitanya, we (my wife and I) may come tomorrow evening and camp (to avoid the risk of 80km/hr in the morning with the fog). Can you share the coordinate for the camping location where you will be camping if that's ok to join you (I don't know the area).

  13. Staring point is same for all drives day 1 and day 2. If anyone wants to camp previous night you can and also you can plan to camp after the drive. I am planning to end my drive at start point if time permits as plan A. Plan B is different location further down at E45 towards mezaira around 25kms from meeting point and you can drive on road after inflating your tires.

  14. Thank you all for signing up for this drive ! I hope you are all excited and looking forward to it ! A few but very important pointers below. Please read them carefully. 1. Please ensure that you are there at the meeting point on 7:30 AM SHARP. Late comers would be sent back. As there is a long distance to drive if you leave in the morning, make sure to leave ahead of time and keep at least 30mins spare time for refueling or a tea break. 2. Get lots and lots of rest the previous day. The more the better as this terrain will not only challenge your vehicle but your mind as well. We would need your complete focus, and fatigue due to less rest is the last thing that is needed on such a terrain. For those who prefer camping the previous night, you can do so at the starting point as its a nice spaced out area. Bring some firewood incase if you wish to have a bonfire to keep you warm. Cleaning up after the bonfire is mandatory. 3. Ensure that your 4x4 is well serviced recently and all the lubes and fluids are topped up. A vehicle breakdown in this terrain will result in not reaching our beloved Yellow Truck so please do the needful to get your 4x4 in the best possible condition. 4. You will be needing 100 litre total fuel amount before starting the drive. For example, if your existing fuel tank is 80L, then you need to bring a 20l jerrycan with you, safely strapped inside the vehicle (or outside if you have a suitable bracket or holder). Make sure your main tank is full. There is an ADNOC 15mins away on the way to the meeting point. Location of last Fuel Station: https://goo.gl/maps/Ug1sGJE1PP6eJBJNA 5. Spare tyre should be in good working condition. If not been used recently, ensure that you take it out and check the condition properly. Also ensure that you have the wrench that can be used to remove your tyre (if needed). In the past we have seen that people upgrade their tyres but still keep the the original wrench which is of no use to remove the upgraded tyre. So please ensure that your car has the right tool to remove the tyres (if needed). 6. Air compressor, proper shovel, flag, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, radio 7. Fully charged radio (tuned to all Carnity Frequencies) with spare battery / radio. If you have a car charger for your radio, please bring it along. 8. Car charger / battery pack for your mobile. 9. Plenty of water, approx 5 litre per person. 10. Bring along your breakfast, lunch, snacks, etc in easy to eat packing. We shall be having breaks in between the drive. 11. Dry food, energy bar, cookies, nuts, crisp to munch while driving 12. Bring garbage bags along to carry your trash. Littering in the desert is strictly prohibited. Please make sure all the off-road gears and jerrycan is strapped properly. Please take this event seriously and understand that this terrain, due to its remoteness and size of the dunes will challenge everyone on this drive. If you decide to bring passengers, please make sure they have spent a full day already in a vehicle in the desert and are used to it. There are hardly any nearby exit tracks and rerouting might take hours, so once we are in this terrain the aim is to complete the entire drive and visit the Yellow Truck

  15. What is Yellow Truck ? Buried deep inside the Bu Hasa Desert near Madinat Zayed City, there is an abandoned water tanker truck, which due to its remote location, has become a pilgrimage for many Offroaders all over the UAE. How did it get there ? That remains part of the mystery..... What's the location ? You will have to join the drive to find it.... And why exactly should we go there as a club ? This area, together with LIWA Moreeb area, is the ultimate playground for offroading, where you will find monstrous dunes, stadium-sized bowls, and the sheer size and remoteness will make you really feel you are in a different world ! This will be an unforgettable experience and will make you become part of our yearly pilgrimage team ! When?? When ?? WHEN ?? 17. I also figured it out by looking at it, as that dial looks functional with a rough edge crown. It can inflate 3 tires when MM or bushranger inflate 4. It's not terribly slow, but a little slow.

  18. Hi Pascal camping will be close to the starting point I will be coming there after I finish work which might be well beyond dark. Some others might as well come there earlier - if u can coordinate here, leave your numbers then we can get in touch call me once u reach then I can plan out or let u know accordingly as the situation turns out.

  19. Oh now when you mentioned I checked mine was setup at very low psi… and since days was cursing TE for being a cheat as it was shutting off while inflating my daughter’s bicycle 🤣🤣🤣 no instructions along with compressor how would anyone know the trick 😀

  31. I have tried it on a few MC and what I really like is you can set it to desired PSI and it will switch off automatically. The second advantage is that you can inflate two tires at once with the supplied hose. BUT, it's slow and usually coughs up on the third tire, so I inflate the fourth one from my spare compressor. If you can find a way to upgrade the same compressor to higher lpm output, it will be a nice setup.

  33. Good evening @Chaitanya D, I have just registered for this drive so now first on the waiting list). I did actually registered for the fewplus + drive on the 2nd, but since this would be my first fewbie plus drive after promotion, Gaurav advised me to join your drive instead to be more confortable, and join a "standard" fewbie plus drive later on. Apreciate if you could accept me for your drive... really looking forward to see the yellow truck. Thank you, Pascal

  34. Hi Gaurav, Indeed this is true, I was not sure if this would be a good idea for a first fewbie+ drive, but was not sure to be free on thursday for the fewbie drive. I have managed to get myself free for thursday, so I have registered for the fewbie drive you mentionned. However, I am on a wait list (first on waitlist)....can you help to get me in, I was really looking forward to drive in that area and see the yellow truck

  39. The 100L guidance is a good outer limit, but every car consumes fuel differently. For example, my VTC is one thirsty lady and if I add any extra weight such as camping gear and additional passengers, not to mention my rather portly belly, all of these also reduce fuel efficiency. To add to this, I’ve heard that @Srikumar’s off-road Cafu service is quite exorbitant so plan an extra can if you have a thirsty lady like me. P.S. please don’t tell your spouse that their presence reduces fuel efficiency. It’s bound to have larger ramifications.
