MUST WATCH: NEWBIE VIDEO BRIEFING Drive Details Level: Newbie and above (all levels) Meeting time: 7:00 AM (SHARP - Without any exceptions) Meeting Point: Lisaili Fort (24.8911670, 55.4292729)https://maps.app.goo.gl/rK4hhikxBMmJerL3A?g_st=iw Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance. What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, face mask, rubber gloves, enthusiasm and willingness to learn. Approximate finish time: 11:00 AM P.S. Only join if you have a compressor to inflate your tires after the drive. LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE: This drive is limited to 12 cars only. RSVP will close on Friday - 9AM. If the RSVP is full, you can add your name to the waitlist, once anyone drops, you will be moved to the RSVP list. RSVP will close a day prior to preparing a convoy list. Latecomers will be returned back - Without any exceptions. Members without RSVP will be returned back - Without any exceptions. Please withdraw your RSVP, if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others. Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month. Hi @Islam Soliman, I have tried everywhere but couldn’t find a flag with a Pajero mount in one day. If the flag is a must, then I will pass tomorrow, secure it over the week and sign up for next weekend. if I can still join without a flag/borrow one, then I am in. Thanks. Jan

Dear all, pls go through the below in prep for tomorrow’s drive: Be ready at the meeting point by7:00am (or before) with tires deflated (Front 14psi Rear 13psi) and flag erected Please ensure your programable radio is on, fully charged and set to Channel 1 (446,006) For first timers, pls ensure you complete the readings and video in the main drive post before the morning Briefing will be done on the sand before we start moving. Please ensure everything in the car is tied down and there are no moving objects Please check all car fluids, tow hooks, and ensure no hanging parts below the chassis. please ensure you come with a full tank (as much as possible) in addition to all necessary gear for this drive level specially your tire deflator, pressure gauge and a compressor, safety flag and radio. Hi @JanS.. thanks for sharing the details.. pls try to source a flag tomorrow so you come prepared for the a safe drive with the convoy. Also compete the readings and watch the video on the main drive post prior to the drive.

@Islam Soliman Hi, I have just signed up for the drive: Mitsubishi Pajero 5-door, yes to low and high 4WD gears, tow hooks etc. I go dune driving about once or twice a month but I have never been part of a convoy so consider me a newbie (though not completely new to sand driving). I have a two way radio, tire inflator, tow ropes but no flag. Looking forward to the drive. Jan

Good morning @Islam Soliman - I am confirmed for this drive as Simon had to cancel the IM drive due to a damaged shock absorber that cannot be repaired in time for that drive. Looking forward to driving with you again and meeting new drivers.

Does your car have 4W Hi and Lo gears? - Yes, It has 4W Hi and Low Confirm your vehicle has front and rear tow hooks / eyelets - Yes, Front Hook ,but at the rear it is a trailer hitch bar. Confirm you have an offroad safety flag - Yes I do have one. Do you have a programmable radio? Yes. Do you have any prior off-road experience? I have driven off-road once as a part of a car campaign long time ago. No recent experience other than some out of the tarmac drives in Qudra and Wadi areas.

@Davie Chase really sorry but i will have to pull out of the drive tomorrow. I have a damaged tire and cannot get suitable replacements in time. Real bummer as I was looking forward to the drive.

@Looper I’m sorry mate I can’t make it I noticed the engine temp started getting very hot I’m leaking coolant. Will have to call off. I deeply apologize was looking forward to meeting everyone
