@Mehmet Volga as we discussed the other day, i am using the stock shock absorber ( i was told that they can handle the abuse) they are doing well till now, i have a 2" lift kit ( springs only ) with AOR 1.35 inch spacers for handling compensating for the center of gravity .

As i am having 18inch rims i had to increase my tire size to 265/65 R18 to minimize the pop outs which and as  a biproduct entertained me with an additional 1inch  😁, so in total i have 3" lift

what have improved by the above:

    1.  stiffer and more controllable ride, even when i  fly over speed bumps the car doesn't act like a wild horse , my kids love it ( not that i encourage anyone to try that 😅😂).

    2. can go at higher speeds than before on the dunes without smashing my skid plate and my entire under vehicle , but not too fast as after a few jumps it will feels like a trampoline  ( i think some people even witnessed me literary flying over some dunes 😅,  here comes handy the professional shock absorbers )

for the past year i am hitting the dunes with this combination.

what i would have done differently is replacing my rims current rims with zero or -ve offset rims as the spacers will always put additional stress on the wheel bearings . and i would highly recommend you to do so if you are about to change your tires.

P.S never go for used spacers as they are not safe!!

looking forward to see you soon in the sand 💪

Thank you very much brother @Simon Dawood  for your advises. I am going with lifting and spacers to improve my experience just like yours. I'll be abroad for 2 weeks. Let's meet on the sand to try my evolved pajero when I'm back 💪

@Mehmet Volga clearly its not like the stock suspension has ever stopped u 😂. But since u hav decided to upgrade the MRA are a good investment, these things hold their value as in when u decide to rebuild they are just as good as new and if u want to just sell them after a good use & abuse, u wil still be able to recover some of that money spent.
stage 1 in my opinion will give you just the lift, bit stiffer than the stock maybe. Bt Like i said its not like the stocks ever stopped u so im sure even with stage1 u will fly 😂

I feel a bit older though... but sure I'll test some jumping 😉 Thank you buddy for the advice. Let's see how it goes tomorrow.

For the spacers, I checked the reviews for other brands and recommendations on 4x4 groups; do not take chances with these minor stuff when off-roading.

Yes, almost everybody suggests H&R so its quality is clear already. So is the price :)

How about AOR? Some good comments I heard but its price is way cheaper so I wonder why 😶

Anyway as you said, better to go H&R for spacers I think...

The MRA is one with the reservoir- top of the range.  The middle range is the IMS version.  Twin tube is the entry level.

I have not changed the settings up to now - dont need to as i am enjoying the on-road and off-road drives with the same settings.

I personally feel the MRA is an overkill (but still cheaper than the like of Kings or Fox ...); however i did not want to go for the mid-range and later on have second thoughts.

There is an offer from Dobinsons right now - check their Insta page.

    Snip below.

Thank you very much @Imteeaz brother 👍 The picture is very clear now. I'll check the fair tomorrow then compare the prices...

one major change I felt is the reduced dashboard rattle  on speeds >60 on the serrated sabka tracks😂..

...that really makes sense :D I hate that feeling...

    Thank you @GauravSoni buddy. As I understand, there are 3 types with Dobinson;

    1- Base one with around 3 - 3.5k cost

2- Mid one around 4.5 - 5k cost, adjustable (MRA, I think this is yours, right?)

    3- Top one with reservoir 7 - 8k

I am planning to visit Adihex tomorrow to check for prices. Honestly I don't want to spend too much for such an old girl. So what do you think about base one?  Is adjustment feature really worth to go with?

I personally have found a sweet spot setting for on and off road.

If you are not switching to different adjustment between off-road / traffic, do you think non-adjustable base one annoys too much on the paved road?

  7. Hello all Pajero riders.

I am planning to replace my suspensions (2017 Pajero LWB) as the stock ones are completely dead. While doing this, I will install lift kit (2 inches) and put wheel spacers to the alignment of fenders edge.

I'd be appreciated any of your recommendations (brand, type, cost, etc...) , good or bad experiences... best fit with Pajeros... etc.

... or maybe not to change but have new stock ones again...

    Thank you in advance...

  8. It was wonderful being back in the desert and seeing old friends @Chaitanya D @M.Seidam and @imranaasghar81 after such a long time. Congratulations to our new Marshal @M.Seidam. Looking forward to join many more under your lead.

The convoy was really good, every driver dealt with the sand very well. Huge step forward in your offroad journey... 💪

See you all again on the next!

  9. After more than six months, meeting again with my favorite terrain Sweihan Ocean, fully cleared from all dirty dozer tracks and ready for welcoming me back with its huge dunes, deep bowls and with two very sound drivers! Despite extremely hot weather and very soft sand at some parts, today's drive was an amazing challenge to satisfy everything with offroading!

Knowing that we are only three, I had already decided to push it higher to IM - and even more! ... and I did it!.. But what? No announcing from my radio screaming "Hold on... I am stuck... have refusal... heeeelp!" ... then I pushed it even more... still nothing but only a few re-attempting where I thought some as stuck, then amazed with excellent self-recoveries...

We drove for 75 km in three hours and reached to Nahel right on time. I visited all my old way points and found that some are even better and more gorgeous than before! Cannot be any better return to Sweihan!

@Salim Akhtar @VipinShetty, first of all, thank you for not abandoning this drive and being on sand today. Secondly of course for your excellent performance allowing us to fly on those great sand waves and to play pretty much in those deep bowls. You both made a great step toward your IM promotions, where you have already achieved in my eye today 😉

See you again on the next!
