  1. Thank you @Davie Chase amazing drive as usual from the smooth operator himself, the weather was perfect during the morning which really set up the ideal conditions for shoveling, which gladly we all got plenty of, looking forward to our next drive together I will be waiting to see your supervising skills put to the test again :D

@Imran Asghar always great meeting up with you mate keeping the rear end anchored perfectly, made the drive much more calmer knowing I had extra support behind me if needed, hope to see you soon mate.

@Mark B @Gary F I'm starting to wonder if the old wife's tale of two doves also apply to two gladiators :D seeing these behemoths carry themselves through the desert is both amazing and intimidating

@Benjamin thank you for your feedback. I will just focus on making my driving smooth rather than worrying about popouts, I don't know I am always worried about that and troubling you all with my popouts...

don’t worry about popouts mate. We get good training out of it and it’s a great teaching point for anyone who hasn’t seen one fixed.

it’s what support crew are there for!

  3. @Abhilash Kottakkal my rim size is 18inch too. In all that time I’ve only ever had a partial pop-out on my front right during an extreme tight turn into a dune.

rim size will definitely change the overall handling of your car and potentially even reduce the risk of a popout. However in my personal experience so far so good!

I recommend to get use to your car. Become comfortable with 13 psi and then experiment reducing tyre pressure to a maximum of 10 psi. If you’re still not comfortable changing rim size and tyre is always an option. Just don’t make it your only option :)

  4. Welcome Ben! There seems to be a large mass of us joining carnity now 😂

a pajero or an Xterra are both excellent choices to have out here in the Middle East for off-roading! Just always be careful when buying cars out here especially 4x4’s my recommendation is always check the chassis number and cross check everything the dealer is telling you. Also Sharjah is notorious for rebuild titles. This doesn’t mean you should avoid buying from the dealers down there just be extra careful!

    awesome pics btw.

Did you tune your engine and gearbox? If not, you will not be able to climb in 4H or 4L. Offroading it is hobby and even lifestyle. Doing it, keeping in mind what happen with warranty or what says your insurance, means limiting yourself in most interesting part of it. If you want proper Jeep you must tune it. Minimum requirements are adjusting cooling system, tunning engine, tunning gearbox for faster switching. Out of than the minimum requirements for the engine tuning are proper air intake and exhaust. All above means bye-bye warranty. Ready for it? Go for it, you will not regret. Not ready? You can keep discussing about 4H, 4L... Nothing will help. You will never go outside of "elementary school".

I have done no re-gearing so far and I can comfortably drive on all levels. Maybe even push harder. Though I would be interested to know the difference between elementary school and secondary school when it comes to the desert 😂

as for 4H and 4L I still primarily drive in 4H unless I need more torque which I can change on the go. Keep in mind this is with a regular jeep wrangler sport trim

however I agree with @Frederic I’m happy being part of elementary school if it means everyone is having fun & being safe
