Gaurav
Finally, just came across a real good news for car owners in the UAE, that car dealer service is no longer mandatory for retaining their car warranties. Ministry is planning to rate car services provider in 1 - 4 star category and warranty will be retained with top star workshops, which will be certified and fully integrated to the dealer system to honor the car warranty. Real good move. Thanks a lot. http://www.emirates247.com/news/emirates/uae-car-owners-relief-compulsory-maintenance-at-agency-abolished-2016-02-09-1.620419 Cost and timing will be very big benefit for the car owners in the UAE, as majority of dealer service has a waiting over a week and cost exorbitant amount. I remember getting my Porsche Cayenne minor oil change service for 2300 Dhs after 2 week appointment to retain my warranty. On second attempt I found an A Class Porsche specialist in Sharjah who costed me 600 Dhs for same minor service with Mobil 1 fully synthetic oil in less than 2 hours without any prior appointment. 3 Let's root for each other & watch each other grow. Danny
This will definitely bring lot of respect and appreciation from car dealer toward their customer and teach them lesson to respect their customer's time and money. I have endless stories for wasting days for smallest service or maintenance with 5 different car brands. Really thankful to the ministry of being so thoughtful and considerate of the constant consumer complaints.
amitaj
This move is nice, if rating is done fairly and every business that get successful doesn't grow two head in next six month time and start showing same attitude of "My way or highway". I suggest that rating should be evaluated annually to see if that business is really worth of those stars or not, like KHDA rates school on annual bases and based on school rating school can hike the fees only if they are above average standard. For all average standard school, no fees hike is allowed.
ethan
Get ready for class A and B service center increasing their price by 100% and matching just close to the dealer rates. This will be the first reaction of any car business as soon as they get rated and ready for the customers.
