William Manning
Flying cars, teleportation and bullet-like trains – it all sounds like transportation methods from a sci-fi movie, but engineers believe it could soon be a reality. A group of engineers has shared what they think transportation could look like in Dubai 50 years from now. They shared their views shortly after it was announced that the UAE is investing millions of dollars into the research and development of the Hyperloop – a train that can travel from Dubai to Fujairah in 10 minutes. Rahimdad
Wow, back to the future, most movies back in the late 80's and early 90's left a mark on the scientist to make fiction come true. Wishing UAE the very best to make this possible, some of us might not be around to see this become reality. Thank for sharing William. PS: Off-roading will not be any fun in these vehicles.
Barry
I think realistically, some sort of VTOL craft like this will be the closest we will ever see to a flying "car" in our lifetime but the costs would restrict it to the social elite. http://www.techweekeurope.co.uk/e-innovation/sikorsky-cessna-business-travel-jet-176636?utm_source=Taboola&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Jan2016&utm_source=taboola&utm_medium=referral
amitaj
This Sarwat news writer of 7 days is famous for such crappy and long fetched stories, that is difficult to catch and proven wrong. I more agree with barry idea that these private plane kind of shit will be soon appearing in next 5-10 years on the horizon.
Rahimdad
@amitaj I don't think most of us will be around to catch him after 50 years and tell him his story was far fetched.
Pete
He himself will not be around so he is pretty safe! @Barry, exciting bit of news there, looking forward to seeing those around.
