Anyway, I added my name on the Sharjah afternoon Drive. Have a nice Evening. Hi @Lawrence_Chehimi, if any space becomes available do you want me to add you, or will you stay in the other drive you have signed up for ? Just need to know if i need to keep you in the waitlist or not. 2 "Go as far as you can see; once you get there, you'll be able to see further." Frederic
DRIVE RSVP IS NOW CLOSED I hope you guys are excited to enjoy a full day of sand, lovely scenery, and some gentle mountain trails ! As mentioned in the drive topic, this drive is meant to be a scenic drive, that focuses more on the experience than specifically on the drive skills. Having said that, there will be times where you will need to use the skills you have learned so far. In this trip we will be driving in 3 emirates, going from Batayeh (Sharjah), to Falaj Al Moalla (Umm al Quwain), and up to Masafi (Ras Al Khaimah). Some pointers: - Upon arrival, you can start deflating to 14-15psi. I would not advise to go much lower as there is some occasional tarmac that we will have to cross, and mountain trails in the afternoon (by then the real pressure will most-likely be closer to 18psi which is good). - Bring plenty of water, lunch, and some snacks. There won't be toilets nearby, but i will do my best to stop at the occasional mosque for the members that would like to pray, and/or freshen up a bit. -You're all pre-confirmed for the drive this week, however your final participation is subject to your "totally agree" confirmation of the specific post about the new Covid-19 restrictions and requirements for the drives, which was shared with all Carnity Members in our Whatsapp Group last Tuesday. Unfortunately numbers are rising and we will be therefore much more vigilant this weekend and beyond, until the pandemic will be hopefully under control - which clearly is not yet the case. Make sure you confirm that you totally agree with the new rules: no confirmation = no drive... it cannot be said clearer than this. Also, be aware that if you don't comply during the drive: 1. You'll be escorted straight out of the desert. 2. You'll earn yourself a ban from Carnity. No one is exempted: the rules apply to you, myself and anyone else on the drive. If you have any questions on this, let me know. There can be NO GATHERING OR SOCIALIZING at any time, not during deflation, not during the rest times. Please abide by this and wear a mask whenever you are out of the car. During the rest-times the cars will be parked on sufficient distance from each other and we should stay nearby our vehicles. - We will be using Channel 1 for all comms: 446.00625 Mhz. Please tune in as soon as you arrive as i will do the briefing over the radio. See you guys and gals tomorrow morning ! 3 "Go as far as you can see; once you get there, you'll be able to see further."
