Thank you @Srikumar Yes its 2009 SWB … & as you said above 2012 models do not have this issue.

Oh … SO it means we cant do any thing in this 2009 to solve

The only thing that you would get hampered is long hill climbs which in Carnity drives is about 10% of the entire drive duration. Play with the tiptronics and you will find a sweet spot and be able to manage most of the things.

Just for information, Vanessa and Richard also drive Pajeros which have the upshifting problem, but they have mastered the gear shifts beautifully and gets every bit of juice out of their cars. Just needs some practice and an understanding of what is your car's limit.

I am in the same group and this is exactly the plan... Higher dunes are a challenge for now but should be achieved sooner or later 😁

Searching online, seems that some people are adding the unichip piggyback in which you can have a mode that limits your engine's rpm to 5200 and thus your trans will not upshit.
