fareed
Hi all. Good Morning. I am thinking to experiment and diagnose the trouble codes of the car on my own. I browsed about it a lot. So all i need now is a scan tool. I don't wanna buy one. So can anyone tell me if I can rent it from somewhere?
narang
IF you want to buy one, you can get it in any Auto parts dealer or store. But the auto parts store like AutoZone can do free plug-in for the cars. Sometimes, they loan you the device as well. After scanning the trouble code, you can give them back. Barry
Be aware that many of the cheaper scan tools will only show generic obd codes related to the engine. They will not be able to read many of the electrical systems of the car.
