CANCELLED - Afternoon Fewbie Desert Drive - Untamed Al Fayah - Abu Dhabi - 13 Nov 2021

Drive Brief
This drive will allow to discover a beautiful and largely untamed stretch of desert, i.e. the area of Al Fayah in Abu Dhabi, on the south east side of E75 Al Fayah road. This area is known for its bright sand, its big dunes with sharp crests and its large swooping bowls. In such an ideal territory for a Fewbie Drive, we will enter at 2:00pm from E75, heading east. After reaching an area of stunning rock formations unexpectedly emerging out of the sand, we will loop back to our entry point heading west facing the sunset, getting back on the tarmac of E75, hopefully carrying away a great deal of fun and memories from this inspiring discovery drive.

This drive is organized in full compliance with the COVID19 guidelines. We expect every member that joins this drive to go through below information and and strictly follow these guidelines in order not to jeopardize someone's health, and to ensure we can keep organizing these drives safely.

Drive Details

Level:  Fewbie and above (All Levels)

When:  13 Nov 2021, Friday

Meeting time: 2:00 PM (SHARP - Without any exceptions)

Type of Car: Any proper 4x4 with front and back tow hooks and 8-10 inches of ground clearance.

What to bring along: Loads of water, snacks (for yourself), smiles, face mask, rubber gloves, enthusiasm, willingness to learn and your own compressor for tire inflation.

Approximate finish time: 6:00 PM

End Point: E75 Al Fayah Road

Limited Spots Available:

• Limited to 12 cars only. RSVP will close on Thursday - 9 AM.
  • If the RSVP is full and you wish to join, please mention your name on the drive thread to add on the waiting list. 
• Latecomers will be returned back - without ANY EXCEPTIONS.
• Members without RSVP will be returned back - without ANY EXCEPTIONS.
• Please withdraw your RSVP, if you aren't joining, so your spot can be taken by others.
• Repeated no-show members after RSVP will have their account suspended for a month.

Asyou know, as per @Carnityrules, in order to ensure to all members a fair chance to join drives, only one RSVP can be responded for each weekend. If you wish to join a 2nd drive you can ask the Lead of that drive to put you on a waitlist for your 2nd drive and, if places will be available, the Lead will add you to the RSVP.

@Imran Kashif, maybe I was not clear. You cannot respond to two RSVPs at the same time on Sunday. You can respond to one RSVP and ask to be waitlisted for the 2nd RSVP. If, by Wednesday, the 2nd RSVP is not full you will be added to the drive. 

So if you want to join Saturday, you can be waitlisted and we see by Wednesday if there is room for you to be added.

@takeshi sobue you have added yourself in manage tab in this drive also. This is again a Fewbie Drive and you are still Newbie and also, to manage one needs to be in the Support Team and above levels.
