This an old post but I have only just joined the forum? Hope this helps

You can add a suspension rod modifcation which has a number of benefits and can be left on or removed when not off road or at service intivals

I have used several different types of roads over the years and I am now considering the LAMs electronic version

Johnson rods are probally the cheapest option: enables you to stay in Offroad mode without the system lowering at 40km also enables you to fit bigger Offroad tyres Etc fitted in about 10 min and removed in the same time?

Basically you can run your Disco in Offroad mode all the time if desired and when you switch to Offroad you go into super extended

If anyone is interested I could demo the set up one weekend I have run a few brief training days for LR3 & 4 owners to assist them to enjoy the full benefits the latest Discos have to offer?

Hi Tom,

I just missed you on Sunday when you picked up your LR3 from AAA.

If you are at the ME4x4 campout this weekend I would like to pick your brains about the various ways of maintaining off-road height in the LR4.

Cheers

Hi Sharky

I am in Hospital till Sunday so will miss campout

funny enough have discussing with Gordon and others about setting up a meeting at AAA to go over suspension mods for LR3 and LR4 owners plus other offroad mods as LR3's are becoming more affordable more and more people are considering them for off road

on the suspension mods I have just brought in a new UK engineered set rods for trials they are simple and ideal for those who want to use their LR3 as a daily drive 5 min to change from mod to standard

Sharky I have used suspension mods on both LR3's and LR4's to willing to share my findings with you next time we meet up

forum members let me know if anyone is interested in the above, also having Sharky as a forum member is great news
