second hand dealer or owner?

Recommended Posts

I would prefer owner, as i am sure that nothing is hidden unlike the case of second hand car dealers. They are the ones who do cheap repair to cover the fault and polish car look like new and under that comes with lot of secret surprises within month of ownership. I myself have been bitten once with those aweer guys and wouldn't recommend them to anyone again. I heard that they also reverse the odometer reading to fetch better sales price. This should be criminal activity like in US to Fidel with car odometer reading, as imagine if car shows 60k km and person takes it to long drive thinking its less kms and car can take that much strain, and car break down in remote land as it was 300k kms which has been reversed. Really bad.

I agree with Sohail. I have bought three cars from individual sellers and each was great and the owners got what they asked. What I cannot stand is people who advertise like owners and then you find they are dealers. Yeesh!

i agree. and specially the input that a owner will give is on a personal front unlike the dealers.
