Why is my BMW car getting smoke and having problems?

I know this post is old but maybe it can be of any help for other owners in the future...

which car (engine) do you have?

What color is the smoke?

If the smoke is blue (or black) then usually the cylinder-head gasket is the issue! This is dangerous. Go to the service immediately

If the smoke is white then you have a problem with the temperature of the cooling water...

today i have had smoke coming out of the car engine that is what i thought when i was waiting at the signal i then found out that the coolant was exhausted and if i wound have switched off the car i would have blown the radiator too...

with this personal experience i would like all of you guys know that the summers are here and we need to check the coolant level as much as possible.

hi if your bmw still emits smoke, im sure this has something to do with the engine oil, when was the last time you changed the oil. how much did your car run till date.
