👆 Did you get that right? Carry all the ropes you can, bring out the shovels (not spoons), we are going to be the undertakers of what could probably turn out to be an insane drive. Should things go south we might find ourselves stuck in really sticky situations, and we will need all the energies we can muster so please be ready for the same. To reiterate, this drive is primarily an exploration drive, and we may not know what lays ahead, even though it's just Qudra. Our objective would be to come out of it scot-free, make an easy get away from it as an ideal FB drive should be. Important: Request you not be a No-Show and instead rest well and arrive on time. In case you think there are going to be any issues withdraw from the drive as there is a long waiting list. Meanwhile do check the health of your vehicle as it will be quite hot very soon, touching 40 degrees by the time we end the drive. @Riyal Shareef @Mark Pendle welcome to Carnity Offroad club @Mark Pendle Kindly reply with a small introduction: Which 4x4 are you driving/bringing to drive ? Any prior off-roading experience ? If so please specify. Does your vehicle have front and back tow points and are they in perfect condition? @Riyal Shareef @Mark Pendle As a perfect preparation for your first drive with us, please go through the Absolute Newbie Briefing video posted below which really helps in getting you to understand the first basic essentials, so please watch it with full attention. Must watch Absolute Newbie Briefing ⬇️ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hP-2ah4Eyek For your first drive, please bring a tire pressure gauge and a deflator so you can deflate your tires. (for inflating tires we will be ending our drive close to ADNOC station so compressor is not compulsory for this drive) If you do have off-road gear such as a flag, shovel, recovery rope or others, please bring it along as well. If you have a UHF Radio you can bring it along, and program it to the Carnity Frequencies as per the below post. If you don't have radio we will provide spare radio to use. From the second drive onward you need to get your own radio. Click here how to program your radio ⬇️ https://carnity.com/advice/offroad/carnity-two-way-radio-frequencies-r119/4 points

Hi @Dare_to_Dream we do not promote nor mention workshops here on the forum as we want to make sure the content remains unbiased for our members. You are of course free to come up with technical questions as we have a large user base here. Having said that, there are plenty of car workshops in Abu Dhabi to tailor to modifying your vehicle, but be ready for lots of issues to get your car through the RTA inspection if you are planning heavy modifications (unless you will drive it around on a trailer ) I recommend Google search "4x4 modification" or "4x4 tuning" and go through the list of potential shops. Visit them one by one and look at the projects they've done and try to align with them on budget, plans, execution, designs, etc... You will probably see that after visiting 10-15 shops that only 1-2 will be shortlisted. Be very detailed about your expectations and budget. Because the majority of these shops will make you drain your wallet faster than anything ! Good luck !3 points

These are the stats from the last two drives I did here. In the first of the drive, we had a situation where we had a stuck car being pulled by another that got stuck which needed to be pulled by one more which got stuck too so we had to use one more behind it. There was a pop out too at the very start even before we entered the dunes. In the second drive at one time, we found three cars inside a small bowl, a little later in the drive we had 2 or 3 simultaneous popouts being fixed at the same time, and a dead car towards the end of the drive, in the dark. Expectation: The sand will be incredibly soft; the dunes are un-even and narrow. It will be a slow and treacherous track, where anything that could go wrong will go wrong. Objective: We will thread carefully among the dunes and try to keep moving by finding an uncomplicated way to navigate. Reality: TBA2 points

Does anyone know of any car workshop in Abu Dhabi that can provide car styling, body and frame modification ? Basically, I'm thinking of taking a 4x4 donor vehicle chassis and modifying it into my project concept vehicle Any help would be greatly appreciated !1 point

DRIVE PLAN We will start our drive from Bab Al Shams, enjoy some technical dunes along the way that I am expecting to be super soft as well as very technical. We will also try to find some nice dunes and practice ridge riding and criss crossing. After that, we will enjoy a drive that will take us into Last Exit. Read Carefully: I haven’t driven in this area for a long time, and I’m planning to explore it. I think the sand might be really soft, so I’d like the cars to be lighter, preferably below 2.5 tons in their usual stock setup. It would be great if we could avoid really big vehicles. Also, the sand dunes are going to be narrow, so trucks might not be the best choice for this terrain. Keep your shovels handy.
