  2. A short convoy gives the freedom to explore and push the level especially when you have experienced level headed guys behind the wheel! we had a quick chat and I gave them a choice of what they were expecting.. it seemed just going all out like kids in the park was the selection for the day! we started around 2.45 pm with a nice cloud cover , cool wind and absolute virgin sands! The uninterrupted flowing dunes of Nahel gave us a an “iftar bowl” - choice of maneuvers and angles to climb the ridges and side slopes. We perhaps climbed the multiple dune from multiple angles perfecting the move every single time.. @Santoso Marjuki your infectious smile and such brilliance in handling your car behind in close quarters is simply superb! All was going too well until I faced an issue with my car. We quickly sorted it out, however we agreed to not risk and exit out. In agreement we decided to let @Sunil Mathew and @Santoso Marjuki play around the area for some time. Considering we had good experienced drivers, I decided to let willing driver @Sunil Mathew to lead the convoy out to the exit track. you navigated quickly with smooth tracks to exit us all out! it was an absolute pleasure leading two amazing drivers in an amazing terrain! Hope to see you guys soon!

  5. Dear Desertnauts tomorrow we are planning a drive which will mostly bank on its length, hence the need for concentration and endurance, as its main feature, and challenge. We'll be moving westward, along E20, from the entry point just south of Sweihan, following the setting arc of the sun, toward (we hope) al Faya's exit. Pace, and minimizing refusals, will be the two main keys for success of this drive. At the same time, we'll do our best to enjoy the beautiful landscape, and the various desert terrains. The convoy order at the moment is: @Cristian in Second Lead @lucas amat at #3 @Hani Howeedy at #4 @Xavi Moyano at #5, and @Julien Recan in Sweep. We'll pick the Carnity Radio Channel at departure. Please come with a full tank, as we plan to drive for around 4 hours. See you all tomorrow.

  7. although had to cut short midway due to Gaurav's car issues, we had a great drive with enough time to play around, flattening maximum ridges and criss crossing our way through...a short convoy enabled us to try different things which would normally be difficult with long convoys...see you soon on another adventure @GauravSoni and @Santoso Marjuki... probably the one being contemplated by GauravSoni 🙃😉

  10. A bit of timing information for Sunday evening. We have a perfect configuration with Sunset 6:31 pm Moonrise 5:54 pm - Moon Illumination 99.8% I know the weather forecast is not that good, but let's hope for a clear sky for the beginning of the evening ! If so we will be able to watch the moon rising over the horizon and remaining illuminated as the sun disappears and the sky becomes darker. All this happening during our Iftar !

  15. Subframe drop done 👍, took a day and a half to install but well worth it I think. Did a f+ drive with @Ale Vallecchi on Sunday to test and suspension seams to move a lot better with the new UCAs and trailing arms. Didn’t lift wheels anywhere as much as previously. bit of a full on job to install yourself in the Dubai summer 🥵 but thanks to @Bravoechofor your help. (Only had to get the angle grinder out for one old mount bolt 😂, and to modify the air filter housing) comparison photo to a standard SWB added
