I have been using several car insurance in Dubai, since 2002 and based on my personal experience I found that RSA and AXA are one of the best car insurance that you can get in UAE.

Lately RSA started offering highly competitive rates without compromising on their standards, so I highly recommend RSA.

Here are the few things that I completely love about RSA Car Insurance:

    • No headache roadside assistance without any Emirates clause or limitation.
    • Offroad cover comes by default for all 4x4.
    • Offroad cover does cover dunes and desert than road side loose gravel - 50 meter clause.
    • Oman coverage also comes by default or on request without impacting the premium (at least in my case).
    • Get a very good no-claim discount, that I don't find any other car insurance cheaper than RSA.
    • Claim department works perfect - as I had one claim when someone hit my car.
    • Repair job was of perfect quality - done by Eurogulf - good garage - bit time consuming though.
    • Last but not least, once you cancel the insurance they refund remaining months without any drama.

This time, RSA car insurance have exceeded my expectations for refund by far.

When I sold my car recently I forgot to take the registration card copy. Tried to reach the new buyer since 4 days but he is not responding or willing to send me the new registration copy for some odd reasons. I explain the same to RSA and they send me a refund form and process the refund within 1 business day.

Now, that's what I call an awesome customer service while taking money and while giving back money.

Keep it up RSA, you guys are rock star.

@Gaurav So do we get claim if we have an accident during our off road drives even if it is more than 50 m distance.

To all Newbies, please make sure you have obtained you own radio, as we will most-probably not have enough spare radios available for this drive.

If you do have one but need assistance for programming it, please arrive at least 15mins before the meeting time, as we do not want to delay the whole convoy while programming radios.

Like everyone else said, it’s the rear bushings. Differentials in any car rarely give bother unless it’s totally neglected. Then you would see the oil spots on the pavement outside your house.

@Barry Can you please suggest the good workshop to diagnose differential noise and also to change the timing belt.

    Dear Friends,

This is my first post here; I was glad to see such a platform wherein we can discuss automobiles and seek recommendations.

I bought one Pajero 2012 GOLD color last October, with zero accidents on it till now Alhamdolillah; I seek recommendations on following:

    1. Car Dashboard and Backside (may be rear door) makes noise on slight rough service roads and YELLOW road straps (which are more thicker now in Dubai). Otherwise, there is near-to-nil noise on plain roads.

    2. Car has done 98K ODO. Should I change the timing belt now, or take it upto 120K (as I read some other friends posting here) in next 2 years as I don't drive it too much? If this is to be replaced, what other major items to be changed and how much will it cost me overall? Any good place in Sharjah or Dubai wherein I can get it fixed. I was told by a garage in Shj (who worked on my past car Corolla, Accord etc repairs for last 5 years) that Timing Belt and other good-to-be-replaced-with-TimingBelt stuff will cost around 3K.

    3. There is a steering wheel grinding noise whenever I turn it any side. Otherwise, it moves smooth. How to get it fixed and in what cost?

    Hello,

@MisterPoet  did you found solution on steering grinding noise. I am also having this issue. Please advise.

  6. Hello Guys,

    I am joined carnity today.

I have 2013 , 3.8 Pajero. Every time I accelerate my car there is sound from rear end like jerk or back lash sound, specially in traffic where we need to accelerate the car more often. I checked with 2 garages. They said this is common 4X4 cars specially pajero's. They are not able to give what exactly this sound and how to rectify this.

Is this noise common in all pajero's.  Please advise.

    Thanks,

    Rohan
