Thank you @Ben84 @varunmehndiratta @Gilbert Khalil @Mohamad Anwer @Chinthaka Ruwan @Richard Franks @Veedooshee and @Nathan Evans for joining this passion play drive.

May I know the choice of camera and lens you will be carrying for this drive? So that I can split the convoy into two balanced parts to have plenty of action shots for each car.

Just to share my previous experience, action shots with crisp quality need a faster camera and stabilize lens (VR kind). The more closer we position ourselves to the cars better will be the resulting sharpness. Something like 40-50 meters than 200-300 meters.

Using the viewfinder (not live view) and fastest-finger-first is the only recipe (I know) for great shots to click at the perfectly right time. A faster camera can click multiple full-res shots quickly (not burst preferably, as it loses quality). We don't have to use a tripod for daylight shots, but you can if you prefer. At all times your camera lens will be chasing the car and waiting for the perfect action shot so flexibility in moving your hand, neck and body is prime.

@Mikhail Lukichev @Frederic @Lorenzo Candelpergher  @samamara  @Mario Cornejo do you advise any advance photography tips to get the most out of this drive?

    Hey @Gaurav

Ill be shooting on my Fujifilm XT-4 with a 24-80mm and I'll bring my little point and shoot Fujifilm XF10 which is a fixed 28mm to capture those from the hip moments on our adventure 🤘🏼

    Look forward to Friday!

@Nathan Evans thanks for the interest in joining the drive. However unfortunately and to ensure fairness to everyone we need to ensure required level is attained at time of RSVP. Hence, I will have to remove you from the drive for now.

Once you have your F+ promotion you are welcome to RSVP again or if no slots add yourself to waitlist and I am hopeful we will be able to accommodate.

As an alternative, I have another Fewbie drive on Sat morning which I will be happy to have you on; if the timing works for you pls RSVP.

Fairenough, I understand, signed up for Saturday

  4. @Luca Palanca Falsini thanks for the diverse upbeat drive, nothing like Faya on a Friday sunrise to get your blood going for the weekend! Everybody did awesome and we maintained solid momentum throughout. @TT_Dubai haha thank you for the compliment, me and the jimny certainly try our hardest to keep up with the V8 big dogs! @Alain Canivet-Abikhalil definitely send me some footage if you can!

  5. Cheers @Luca Palanca Falsini and @Panchoand the rest of the lads for a solid drive! It was super fun and more importantly insightful for me and the Jimny on the large dunes of Faya! Definitely can take away some valid information and experience to better my skills for next time, plenty of room for improvement. See you back out there on red stuff soon enough!

  6. @RaYan E, as @Chaitanya D mentioned us Jimny drivers are absolutely rivalled by horsepower but that (from first hand experience) can be overshadowed by driving skill and experience and ultimately knowing the science of how your Jimny reacts to driving on sand! A few points in regards to this being that these Japanese short wheel based little toys have one of the biggest advantages and that is the WEIGHT which technically makes a resounding difference when talking about power and movement as although it doesn’t give us much juice as some bigger cars with 4 litre or v6/8 configurations it means that it takes a lot less to move it. In parallel to that weight I personally drive on 10psi on the OEM wheels and tyres without so far having any problems, which allow we to create a decent footprint for putting what power I have down on top of the sand without sinking or bogging. You can really notice the presence of the Jimny when your driving on sand as it loves to float on top and really does not sink at all! With the experience and skill side, it’s all bout momentum and throttle control with the Jimny, maintaining that speed and most importantly the sections before a climb or a sidey etc, that is what will carry you through with ease and less strain on the little motor! Knowing the throttle will help with that and when the range where you have Max torque and bite! I’m about 12 drives in now with a few fewbies under my belt and I’m loving every step in the Jimny, learning an abundance about myself and vehicle each week! Hope this helped a little bit if you want to know anything more or some specifics, feel free to continue this discussion on here.

And if you do get stuck all you have to do is get you and your friend to pick up the car with one finger and she’ll be out :)

  7. Thank you once again @Frederic! For your admirable words and spirit in the field 👊🏼 Everyone today showed their passion to progress and most importantly have fun safely with off roading. You can never ask not to be surrounded by this kind of group as it really does make these drives all the more exciting and excel everyone’s learning curve. Sadly the Jimny will be sat in the garage itching to get back out to the desert 🐪 as I travel for a few weeks over Christmas, which however, the Jimny can celebrate early with those climbs today😅

Big up to everyone for the good vibes and technical support today!
