Its about the driver definitely but a driver cannot drive in thin air. He needs the machine to drive. Its the man and the machine. Mods are different case. If you want mods have them if you open your wallet. In my case my wallet is not big and I can handle my stock car with the level of drives I participate. I don't want a suspension lift as I drive very fast on tarmac and take corners at the maximum speed possible without tipping the car over. In the present condition my sedan can take the exits from the bridges at 120 km/hr whereas my 4 X 4 cannot go beyond 80 km/hr at the exits. I would definitely love a properly fixed snorkel to minimize the sand intrusion into the air filter box of my X. Little bit later as I already broke my wallet paying all the radar fines for renewing my car yesterday. Phew one big headache over. Thank God my family has gone back a couple of days to India so that I don't have to get embarrassed by explaining the money I gift RTA to them.

Maybe it’s time to reduce your speed a little bit on tarmac, radars are fine we don’t want anything to happen to you. Be careful! And yes totally agree with you Thomas 👍

  2. @Frederic well being a UAE national sand is my nature, so I have to know how to navigate through it. That’s why I love being in the desert so much. Just today I was talking to my co-workers and they told me “Shehab how does ur truck not have a modded suspension system and you’re climbing Al Faya and Badayir with ease” I replied “it’s not about the car it’s about the driver”

Add to that fuel consumption profile, so far all the drives took me to an average of 30-35 liters/100km, yesterday's drives did a record 54liters/100km 🤣🤣🤣

I came with a full tank (about 85 liters) and left with half so i used around 42.5 having a V8 has its pros and cons our cars are really thirsty cars. 😂

  4. @Foxtrot Oscar first thank you for the amazing drive, I really love Badayir/nazwa area the dunes that just flow into on another that don't need much power just momentum. I had 1 refusal where I was stopped in a bad place but by the time I announced it I was already out. I will always admit when I'm wrong or when I messed up, no shame in that.

Yes ill do my best to buy my lady a wrangler and get her to join Carnity 🤣

Thank you @Foxtrot Oscar for being a fun and amazing lead, @Ahab Shamaa love the car first of all and great job being second lead, @Islam Soliman as usual amazing sweep didn't leave anyone behind 🤣.

@varunmehndiratta pickup are different in the desert, not many people expect such a large car to be twisting and turning in these types of dunes and when you see one its basically like seeing a flying whale (that is a reference to a heavy metal song by Gojira, @Paul Zeitoun check out the song ;) Flying Whales - Gojira) hopefully the track wasn't too destroyed for you and I'm glad you enjoyed the show the two giants in the convoy were putting on!

See you all in the next one and thank you for not making us shovel in the heat I'm so happy everyone dealt with their refusals/stucks by themselves!

  5. Great drive, very impressed with everyone in the drive, few stuck and refusals but other than that very avid drivers! (I never doubted anyone, don’t get me wrong)

Thank you @Vanessa8580 for being a great lead as usual, @Arman for being a great second lead, and @Islam Soliman for being a great sweep.

Learned a lot about getting out of tight situations like what happened with @Alain Canivet-Abikhalil, (That was a very nasty way to get stuck). But I hope you learned a lot of gas control and how to “play” with your steering to displace sand.

Other than that great drive. Hope I didn’t let anyone down as CF and could help as much as possible.

"The move" as we are calling it now is always fun to do, its difficult in a bigger car but can be done just as good as a small car, next time ill blast the Tokyo Drift song 🤣

  7. Great drive! Really enjoyed! Hope I didn’t slow the convoy down and sorry for destroying the track behind me at times😅. Thank you @Foxtrot Oscar for extending the duration of the drive. @Veedooshee for being a great second lead. Thx @Craig Finlayson for the small tips! Thx @Islam Soliman for being a great sweep as usual! Sorry you guys had to leave the drive early @Thomas Varghese and @Gaurav Soni. And a special thank you to @Thomas Varghese for breaking in my tow rope and shackles 😂.

Good eye @Shehab Alawadhi! I thought @Foxtrot Oscar would find it funny, and that’s why I wrote it 😀

If you also notice, the Fewbies are a minority on this drive as it’s mostly IMs 🤣

I guess I have an eye for comedy and if you have driven with me before you'd know I love making small humorous comments@Arman is usually my partner in crime!

  9. Could I be waitlisted for my 2nd drive of the weekend plz.

So here’s the thing. @Arman and I would like to join this drive as our second drive of the weekend. The reason for that is so we can switch and drive each other car's just to see how it feels to drive another car in the desert. We don’t want to take any of the newbies chances of a drive so could we be the last priority for the drive please, or if you need people to help with the drive we would be happy to assist :)
